After 150 hours of playing I don't know why I have not made a review on this but now I am lol. I'm just gonna tell you a few things that you should read before actually buying this game.
1: its already free on quest so if you don't wanna waste your money I would get the game on quest.
2: This is an extraction based game and you can't store your actual loot, however you can store your healing items and a few other stuff
3: This game is pretty hard for newer players and it might not seem that fun at first however the more you play the better you get and the more you understand the game and how fun it actually is
4: by the time I'm writing this review this game is in beta. EXPECT ALOT OF BUGS. However the dev team is working really hard to fix all of these issues.
5: At the moment there is not much stuff to do other than pvp, fighting a few skeletons, fishing, and of course treasure hunting and it could get boring after a while however you can probably get like 70-80 hours out of this game without getting bored, which is VERY good for a vr game.
6: Is the game actually worth it? Well it depends on the type of games you like, if you like extraction games and pirate games like Sea Of Thieves you will probably like Sail. However if you are not into that kind of stuff you might not like it that much. It just depends on what types of games you like.
If you still don't know if you want to buy the game or not you can look at Habies video on it, He gives a pretty good review on the game. Here's the link if you want to watch the video

It is actually pretty good. I had to mess around with the keybinds and with the inventory settings a bit because by deffault they are quite messy and the voice chat sometimes unreliable but after that things became a lot better. Its like a budget sea of thieves but the players aint that toxic and even the kids are pretty chill sofar. I never taught the day will come when i say this but they dont scream and being racist. They are living the pirat fantasy and its refreshing. My only issue is the ships are way too fest even by default. It feels less like sailing and more like tokyo drifting on porly rendered water.

Best multiplayer vr game. but also, the worst in terms of polish and bugs.

Very fun! I cant wait until nearly all the bugs get removed. Even tho there are bugs it is very amazing.

The game is overrun by small children who should be living out their formative years playing outside, eating dirt, and building trebuchets. All they wanna do is kill you. That's what the game is to them.
That aside, the game is actually really cool. I love the mechanics of controlling the ship and being able to climb all the way up the mast to look around. The NPC combat is rough but whatever, it's in early access. There's a lot to work on but for a bare bones sea of thieves clone in VR, it's actually a very enjoyable experience.
