Don't listen to the reviewers here who only have negative things to say about this game. For one, in order to make your account, start a new game and play through the tutorial and when you are finished, go to setting and click Profile/Support and link your email and create your username. In this way, whenever you log in you start the game you will auto log into your account, its that simple. Sometimes this proves can be a bit clunky on steam, so it is advised to at least create your account on Mobile then link it with steam, or vice versa whichever works for you. Its very simple and unless you have a hair trigger emotional breakdown, you can do it.
The gameplay is extensive and fun. While it is difficult to find players to PvP especially at lower levels, you can always pay 200 gold (very cheap even in F2P) and play the Wizards Chosen (an AI) and get the same rewards. For the commentor who complained about only matching with strong players, they failed to mention that playing against Wizard Chosen eliminates this possibility while still providing a good match, albeit more winnable then against a much stronger real player. Along with Hero vs Hero PvP, you also have Hero vs Tower PvP mode. This is where you lead your heroes to assaulting another players Tower, fighting through their customized waves of Monsters and Heroes. For winning both PvP modes you gain Xp, Rewards, and also Prestige for your Guild. Benefits of being in a Guild are tremendous, as you gain access to exclusive Items and resources that are gained from Member's contributions, so even if there is one generous member, everyone benefits.
There are six main campaign sections, all consisting of 18 unique battles that may require different strategies to complete each. There are also special campaigns that are offered each weak that give great rewards, but can be exceptionally hard for lower level players though you can at least win a couple matches. Along with the Campaign, you also have access to the Catacombs, which are an extensive slog of matches against enemies that are very manageable and also a great source of XP and rewards if you are stalemated on a Campaign mission and need to gain strength. Finally. you have yet another extra source of fighting in the Wizard Tower, that presents a unique challenge for all levels and endless fights and rewards. It operates on a ticket system, and you can either earn tickets as rewards for missions in other game modes, purchase more tickets with gems, but you also get a new ticket each day regardless.
Other options to enhance you gameplay are the Feast Hall. The Feast Hall is extremely important because it essentially gives you free XP and rewards in exchange for Food, which is the resource you need to enter fights. Essentially, you voluntarily give up food in exchange for free XP and rewards without spending the time and effort trying to fight through battles. Along with the Feast Hall you have daily Quests, which offer rewards for completing simple tasks, and Crafting, which by leveling your Artisans (Blacksmith, Alchemist, Engineer), you can craft new weapons, armor, and Machines (to defend your tower from attacks).
I tried to encapsulate the extensive gameplay options for the game, but there is a lot of nuance and little details I cant fully put into words unless you play. I can only give the basic fundamentals and some of the mechanics to help new players better understand this game, and most importantly be a louder voice in the room then the negative commenters who cast an unfair light onto to game as a whole. My advice is give the game a fair shot, follow my instructions on setting up your account, and once you successfully make your account, play at your own pace. This game is very unique from the Hero and monster designs to the combat mechanics and complexity of of strategies you'll find can be implemented in battle.

This so had the potential to be the best game ever except Ninja Kiwi screwed the game up. Now some people can't boot up and some people can't sign in. 2
EDIT: Itdoesn't seem to work now but the game still works on Anmdroid and iOS.
(But thanks to this guy
Signing in is now possible and we can join guild and PvP.)
The gameplay really is unlike any other. I played it for months on Kongregate years back and now I'm back in on Steam. It's not until level 30 where you unlock tier 2 hero battles (3 teams of 4) that your strategic know-how is really tested.
Don't forget to click your chickens (when your food is below maximum).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ (4/5)
A solid heroic strategy RPG where you train a team of up to 4 heroes (from a roster of 30) and tackle over 75 missions fighting 70+ monster types. You loot gear, enchant or craft weapons and armor, and really feel the weight of your builds. The real-time head-to-head PvP is a big plus — you pit your custom hero teams against other players, which adds real strategy. Downsides: player base is small now, making PvP matches hit-or-miss, and it’s F2P so there’s some grind and monetization. Overall, great for hero collection + strategy + tactical fights.
