Touge Shakai (Mountain Pass Society) is an online Touge Racing Game based on Japanese car culture in the 90s. With an emphasis on balance between realism and fun gameplay, the physics are tailored for competitive drift racing, while giving a challenge to all players.
The driving physics are mainly simulated, but not to the extent of hardcore racing simulators. The driving characteristics of each car is tailored to be distinctly different from each other, and require drivers to master different driving styles to bring out the best in each car. The objective is to be fun while remaining believable. However, there’s a twist to the driving physics: Drifting is faster than grip driving for most rear-wheel drive vehicles.

Game modes
Time Attack
Race against the clock with various cars and courses to improve your pace and compete on the leaderboards. Players can also challenge the “ghosts” of other players, which are apparitions of their previous runs to learn from their driving. Medals are awarded with target timings, and provides progression for customization for each car.
PvP Battle
Classic touge-style battle. Battles rules include “First to finish” and “Cat and Mouse”. Cat and Mouse has a leader and a chaser, with the leader trying to pull away and the chaser trying to keep up. The leader wins when they finish the course by a fixed distance from the chaser, while the chaser wins if they manage to overtake by the finish. The race moves on to the next round in a draw, with their positions reversed. Cat and Mouse mode is recommended as it provides the fairest battle, as overtaking is difficult and dangerous on the touge.
Team battles consist of multiple PvP Battles ongoing at the same time, with the team with the most wins coming out on top.
Free Ride
Practice, socialize and start impromptu races with others on the touge and just have fun! Learn from others and enjoy the course without the pressure of winning or losing. Showcase your rides and hang out with other racers and teams.

Le jeu est certes loin d'être terminé, mais ayant passé des dizaines d'heures sur leur prédécesseur fan-made, Initial Unity (qui était "Touge Shakai 1"), j'ai été surpris de découvrir qu'ils ont sorti leur propre jeu sur Steam. Quoi qu'il en soit, il y a des mises à jour tous les mois et, surtout, le jeu est fait par amour et par des passionnés qui écoutent leur communauté. Il est rare de trouver cela dans le milieu des jeux vidéo aujourd'hui et il en manque.

Bah moi le truc c'est que mon fond d'écran c'est une animation de la toyota AE86 d'initial D qui fait un drift, donc ouais ce jeu je l'adore, mais je suis aussi un mec qui adore drifter sur tout pleins de jeux différents de course et celui là il est excellent de fou ! Y a pas 40 000 maps, mais faire tout les circuits avec tout les véhicules en montée ET en descente, ça fait un certain contenu quand même, les physiques de voitures sont assez différentes les unes des autres donc c'est intéressant de tout tester dans tout les sens, ya un système de level aussi, avec lequel on peut débloquer des choses pour sa voiture.
C'est très cool, vraiment je recommande, la physique de drift est vraiment bien faites et le jeu tourne bien sur mon PC !

Franchement pour ceux qui aiment Initial D je conseil ce jeux il support très bien mon volant et mon frein a main. Niveau graphisme il est assez simple il n'en demande pas trop a l'ordinateur et la physique des voitures est bien réalisé.

Incroyable ce jeu , mélange d'arcade et de simulation c'est grave propre, ca se prend super bien a la manette et ca doit être une dinguerie au volant . Jeu créer par ceux qui ont fait le Fan-made Initial D Unity
Si vous êtes fan d'Initial D comme moi, c'est clairement le jeu a avoir !

Le jeu est incroyable, je passe mon temps dessus avec mon simu. Le seul point négatif est peut être qu'ils n'y a pas énormément de choix en voitures, mais la plupart sont très bien, surtout mon petit coup de coeur avec la Subaru.
