I was 14 when this game was released. It was the first video game i bought myself with my own worked for money.
The story behind this game. The graphics behind it, its all absolutely amazing. This game finish up the Legends trilogy of Lara Croft (Anniversaries, Legends, Underworld) and is a perfect finish to what a Tomb Raider game was originally meant to be.

I don't know why people don't like this game. Its better than legend and anniversary. only thing I didn't like is no steam achievements so no point in collecting treasures

I remember playing this on ps3 as a kid, Do you see what I see, I can recall seeing the lush jungle, only to be distracted by the jaw dropping scenery, all the while fighting mythic creature. Back then when game covers existed simply gazing at the game art, drew me into this possibly real fictional world. Gameplay was captivating, with the sheer scale of new areas to unlock or the anxiety of being jumped by a new enemy type it was all heart wrenching stuff at the time. Late game, the exploration of tombs starts to show its weakness but overall a pleasurable end to the trilogy? 8/10

Starts off really strong with an incredible first level in the Mediterranean Sea and follows it up with a solid second level in coastal Thailand. The game had me hooked for the first 3-4 hours.
Unfortunately, the quality drops during the latter part of the game as you get introduced to copy and pasted rooms and some very mediocre combat.
All in all, still definitely recommend playing.

Another great TR game, one of my old favorites. Story ties in well with TR Anniversary and TR Legend, and will be a little confusing if you didn't play those. Gameplay is good, sometimes Lara controls are a little wacky compared to Legend, and the PC version is just a bit more so. With PC there's a bug in the very beginning that makes it impossible to progress unless V-Sync is enabled, which is random.
But good game. Combat has more features than before, there's a lot of weapon customization at level starts, outfit choices, the same ol' reward system. Locations are gorgeous, soundtrack is great, not as bomb as Legend but that's a high standard. If you're a TR fan, I definitely recommend this game along with the other two games in the trilogy.
