One of the simple mobile game where the gameplay is simply swiping/tapping a direction while focusing on not making mistakes, i prefer the smithing or surfing ones since i get a bit confused by the branches but it is the type of game it is so not bad but just a solid meh from me.

A few hand cramps later, this game is something i'll occasionally try to pick up to improve my chopping score. The game is $1 yet it has a lot of unlockables that are within the realm of possibility and achievement hunting is fun. Lots of characters to pick and play. My current Timberman I use is the chick, funniest animation while chopping down trees. There's mult-player mode which is a must for achievement hunting. Plus it's fun to see how well people are at the game. I cannot play it for long due to the cramps, but pick it up. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE! Except maybe your pride.

It's Timberman. Very simple but kinda fun in short bursts every now and then. It's exactly what it says it is. You chop down trees without hitting the branches and that's literally all you do.

Timberman is a deceptively simple yet addictive game that takes the timeless joy of chopping wood and transforms it into a pixelated, fast-paced challenge. Developed by Digital Melody, this casual arcade game delivers a refreshing take on classic timber chopping, offering a quick and engaging experience for players of all ages.
The game's premise is straightforward: players control a lumberjack and must chop down an endless tree while avoiding branches that fall from above. The controls are intuitive, requiring players to tap on either side of the screen to make the lumberjack swing their axe. The game's minimalistic design and charming pixel art create a nostalgic atmosphere, reminiscent of classic arcade games.
One of Timberman's strengths lies in its pick-up-and-play nature. The gameplay is easy to understand, making it accessible for casual gamers looking for a quick distraction. However, don't let the simplicity fool you – as you progress, the game becomes increasingly challenging, testing your reflexes and concentration.
The inclusion of multiple characters to unlock adds a layer of motivation for players to keep chopping. Each character has its own unique charm, and unlocking new ones provides a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, the variety of environments and changing seasons add visual diversity, preventing the game from feeling monotonous.
Timberman also features a multiplayer mode, allowing players to compete against friends or random opponents online. This adds a social element to the game, fostering healthy competition and encouraging players to improve their skills to climb the leaderboards.
While Timberman excels in its simplicity and addictive gameplay, some may find the lack of a deeper progression system or more varied gameplay modes limiting. The repetitive nature of chopping down trees may become monotonous for some players over extended sessions.
In conclusion, Timberman is a delightful game that successfully captures the essence of classic arcade fun. Its easy-to-grasp mechanics, charming pixel art, and competitive multiplayer mode make it an ideal choice for quick gaming sessions. While it may lack the depth of some more complex titles, Timberman's charm and accessibility make it a standout choice for fans of casual arcade games.

Compared with the mobile version, most of the unnecessary junk has been stripped away, now you can just about focus on the core game without too much distraction. Fantastic "easy to learn, hard to master" score chasing casual game.

Theres characters to unlock, and sometimes you'll find other people online bugging you to play with them....the chances of them actually going through with a game (and not leaving the match before it even starts) is a coinflip at best. But MP matches are rare, so take what you can get! A great fast-paced "zen" game, if that makes any sense. Fun to pick up and see if I can beat my high score (Its in the 730s at the time of this writing) in a 20-25 min session every once in a while. Would love to know how to build the speed necessary to hit the 1k range!! Overall a decent little game that would be more fun with people, and a bit more depth, but at the end of the day.....I'm really just here to cut the trees, man.
