Thrillville™: Off the Rails lives up to its name with 20 death-defying rides so outrageous, they inspire the same word from every park visitor who sees them: “WHOA!” Players build these incredible “WHOA Coasters” to leap from one track to another, launch through the air like cannonballs, blast through a burning ring of fire and more.
But the new fun doesn’t stop there. Off the Rails features 34 playable multiplayer minigames, 15 all-new theme areas, over 40 thrill rides, a new story that ties together more than 100 missions, and social interaction with park guests that’s better than ever. The in-depth conversations both advance the plot and suggest better ways to manage the park. But is every guest to be trusted?
- Experience the visceral fun of interacting with a theme park you create.
- Build and ride your own creations, talk and joke with all your guests, and play dozens of minigames.
- Visit 15 themed areas, like Battleville, Winterville, Spaceville and Aeroville, all spread throughout five new parks.
- Create 20 death-defying WHOA Coasters such as:
- Hotrod Stunt – A nitro boost propels a car across a broken track.
- Pendulizer – A giant arm grabs the car just before a gap in the track, whips it around in a full circle, then sets it down on the other side.
- Escape Drop – The track holds the car stationary as it lifts itself from level ground to a full 90-degree drop. Then it lets go.
- Distinguish your rides even more with enhanced customization options. Attach animatronics, flowers and flaming hoops to all of your coasters and rides.
- Play 34 minigames – 14 new, 20 returning from the original Thrillville but with new levels.

a classic. cathartic to finally finish this childhood favorite. it's a very different experience from what you'd be used to with games like Rollercoaster Tycoon but still super fun!
love all the cheesy mid-2000's music still in this, it ain't a theme park in 2007 if Miley Cyrus and Lil' Romeo aren't blasting over the bassy loudspeakers between all the clanking and screaming from the rides.
the ability to change the graphics over to the chunky PS2 look i grew up with is wonderful.
i have no clue how fun this'd be if you didn't play this as a kid, but finally finishing the story (yes there's a story) has filled me with joy.

Really loved this game as a kid, but sadly it just hasn't aged as well. The power of nostalgia is not convincing enough for me here, however, I respect the people who still really enjoy it. I think younger gamers who are more open-minded about playing obscure older games will find something to treasure here. Giving a thumbs up for what it meant to me, even though now it doesn't hit the same notes.
Score when I was 9: 9/10
Score at 26: 4/10

this shit was so fun as a kid and it still hits hard as an adult, one of my favorite coaster creators i've ever played

More than nostalgia.
As a child, I remember liking this game so much that my father would rent it from the local Blockbuster every weekend I got to see him, until eventually just keeping the game for me: He had probably hundreds of dollars in late fees when he past. As an adult buying it myself for purely nostalgia reasons, I was surprised to find that not only does it hold up to some of it's more modern counterparts (such as planet coaster) But actually surpasses them in other forms, such as having every individual ride and stall be playable, It's full of minigames from mini golf to platformers, and there are so many unique worlds and themes. Not to mention that you can interact with every single npc and customer to the park: Going so far as romancing or even matchmaking them. It's a game that holds up to an adult player as well as it did to a child one, even after all this time.

I have completed this game 100% about 3 times now. I was obsessed with this game as a kid on my 360, and I still find it fun to play, I'm so glad it is on Steam as well. I am still, however, infuriated the Bandito Chinchilla game ends on a cliffhanger.

This game holds up surprisingly well! No technical issues on my end. Most (but not all) of the mini-games are actually really fun. The management portion is extremely easy, but that doesn't take away from the fun of it. Tons of goofy charm in the story-related stuff too, and a great soundtrack. Overall, I'd still recommend it whether you're buying it for a kid or your own nostalgia.
P.S. There's not autosave, so don't forget to save

It's quite surprising that while many modern games struggle to adapt their UI for ultra-wide monitors, this game from 2007, predating the era of ultra-wides, handles it perfectly with no scaling issues. Plus, the nostalgia it brings is a much-needed escape from the grim realities of today—genocide, pandemics, and the looming specter of war. Oh how terrified i am of what is to come.... anyway yay my favourite mini game, weeeeee rolla coster!!!!
