This game left me completely burned out on an emotional level but kinda... in a good way? The Wreck features the most emotionally nuanced writing I've ever seen in a video game. I teared up multiple times while playing. It tackles all the themes and, somehow, manages to do them justice. It's a lot. It's devastating and beautiful and, in the end, hopeful. Give this game a chance if you feel up to the subject matter! And remember to take care of yourself while playing, take breaks when you need them <3

The Wreck is a visual novel and multi choices about Juno who's trying to remember what happened to her before her car accident. Manipulating time and her memories will then allow us to learn more about her life and her relationships and help Juno to takes hard desicions and move forward. It's an amazing story about life, death and relationship... The designs are beautiful and the soundtrack is great. I highly recommend it!!! 💗💗💗

Great visual novel. You know how Japan made the original great visual novels? Now, the visual novel genre has crossed over into other cultures and languages and this one is a hybrid English-French novel, and it's solid.
This novel focuses on a hard life-and-death situation of a family member. I've been there, done that, in real life. This does it justice.

Beautiful. Both emotionally demanding and satisfying. The framing structure and interactive mechanics were interesting and fit thematically. The story handles grief in a way that feels accurate, which is rare. Really well done.

TLDR: If you like visual novels and such – highly recommended, you will find a great story with outstanding narration and visuals. For gameplay fans – there is almost no gameplay, you’d better pass.
Story
You play as Junon, a troubled young woman who's struggling to come to terms with a tragic event from her past. As you navigate her past, you'll piece together the events that led to her current state of mental turmoil. The narrative is expertly paced, unraveling the mystery of Junon's past while keeping you on edge with its unpredictable twists and turns.
Gameplay
The gameplay includes clicking on text while sliding in a looping scene, it is simple but effective.
Atmosphere and Sound Design
The atmosphere in "The Wreck" is nothing short of masterful. The visuals are impressive, with a stunning art style that blends realism and dreamlike sequences. The environments are meticulously crafted, and voice acting is impeccable, especially our protagonist, it was a joy to listen to her throughout the whole game.
Performance and Technical Aspects
I played "The Wreck" on Lenovo Legion Go, and the performance was largely smooth, with only occasional minor hiccups. There were some weird low textured or low poly patches in models, but nothing immersion breaking. There are no lip sync and bare minimum of animations but I didn’t mind that at all.
Conclusion
"The Wreck" is about emotions, internal monologue, dealing with psychological traumas, toxicity in people and loss. But it is also about love, support and hope. It was an emotional rollercoaster for my brain, a feast for my eyes and music to my ears.

this game is for people who are into narrative experiences. but not for a short fix! you witness character developents, that takes some time to pick up speed, but actually makes you care about the protagonists. not a lot of gameplay mechanics but enough to carry the story from my point of view!

This is truly a masterpiece of a modern storytelling for any mature gamers who wants to chillax from all of the adrenaline-inducing games out there.
Well, I'm sure we all did that sometimes, right?
Detoxify ourselves from violent gaming once in awhile, no matter how addicted we are with those kind of games, we still need to cool down from it all, seeking inner peace, temporarily.
Until we're ready to repeat the same cycle again and again. :3
Alright I'll stop rambling. Let's talk about this one.
I feel for Junon; the main character, because I was in her shoes with similar situations. But I made peace with it and finally move on. Though it wasn't easy.
This game is fully voiced narrative-ish from start to finish, and will make you appreciate life with your family more (...no matter how bad they are at being what a family suppose to be, but nobody's perfect) and can open your mind from a different perspective. Ever more than before.
Abundant thanks for The Pixel Hunt, hopefully they'll make another one as good or even greater than this. Though for me, this one is already excellent!
Plus I love their accents.
'Nuff said.
