What a masterpiece of a game! I loved the music soooo much and also the village's nighttime charm. For all the people who always only talk about the graphics, it should be said that's what makes this game so charming. I would have liked to help more, just to be able to continue playing. Maybe one day I'll return to this village, for the music, for the charm, for the story and for the mouse of course.

OMG, where do I begin?!
**This is truly My Game of the Year!!!**
Actually, my game of all my games in decades of gaming. I've changed my profile, though it's private to all but a few friends, to name this as my favorite game. In all my years, I have never played a game that is so charming with so very much to accomplish and such a sweet, tender, endearing and emotional ending!
Playing as a tiny little mouse, there are four large parts of a city to explore with the loveliest, high quality graphics, well planned map with back alleys and areas that are on higher levels and lowers levels. You climb up to balconies and rooftops to accomplish your quests. (Don't worry about the platforming tag - you just guide your mouse and it does the rest - trust me, I'm rubbish at platforming and I had no problem with this.)
You meet over a dozen NPC's, search and collect well over a 100 glowing blue light bulbs, interact with many hundreds of items everywhere to gain the energy you need to buy map parts, new powers and capabilities from one of the NPC's in the game. The ending is the best I have seen in any game. And it appears that some day in the future, this game will continue. :)
You will need to revisit all areas to get all 40 achievements. Wear really good tennis shoes!
I will vote for every category possible at the end of this year.
This is the best game I have ever played.
*Highly recommended!*

Do parkour as a mouse in a French village.
what surprised me is that our little mouse can't jump, only run, climb and fall
but this isn't your typical platformer
the main objective is to locate things and figure out a way to reach them
reminded me of looking for Easter Eggs
it's totally relaxed, I enjoy exploring this tranquil village
and the mouse is super cute
I also appreciate the photo mode which let's me take pro pics of my rodent in action

This is one of the most emotionally-rewarding games I can remember playing. I absolutely love the concept of a protagonist who does good for no other reason than a desire to help others - no coins, no stars, no equipment upgrades, no badges, no awards. Just the pure intrinsic joy of solving a puzzle and completing a task. I was not expecting to be so moved at the end of the game, but looking back I think it is because as the game progressed I more and more wanted to continue for no reason other than to help the characters I had met along the way.
Anyway, that's what matters about the game. From a more technical viewpoint, it's a clean, efficient puzzle-platformer that challenges you to make every use of the few powers you have find all the hidden secrets of the map. Graphics are simple by lovingly-made and fit the personality of the world, and the French jazz-inspired soundtrack is perfect. I particularly appreciate how the camera reinforces the mouses-eye-view of the world, challenging you to find high points to be able to find your next goal.
Like all my Steam games, I bought this on sale and my review is based on that price - beating the game with >90% completion in under 8 hours, I probably would have expected a larger game world with more levels and more puzzles if I had paid full price. Regardless, the developers deserve credit for the unique style and approach of the game - bravo!

This was such an enjoyable experience from start to finish. A very fun achievement hunt as well. It's an easy game, but at no point did it ever become boring. The puzzles are very easy, but each one is different from each other and is over in an instant. It's a kid friendly game, but just as enjoyable for adults. The story it is trying to tell is really heartfelt, about helping people, no matter how big or small.
In this game you explore a small little French inspired village, and it certainly got that kind of vibe. The music is so fitting, but also really enjoyable and relaxing.
I really like the graphics and artstyle and the little mouse is cute and feels good to control. I love the little creatures called kibblins, they have such a personality, they are adorable and I love the little sounds they make.
If you like Little Kitty, Big City, or maybe even Stray, then this will probably be right up your alley.

A short yet fun puzzle-platformer. I was not expecting to cry at a game like this but glad I actually played it specially with how well the character controls and is just the cutest little mouse~

The Spirit and the Mouse
A thunderstorm approaches the small town of Sainte-et-Claire, knocking out most of its power and leaving electrical appliances malfunctioning! In an attempt to cheer people up, a small but determined mouse chooses to make a big difference. Gaining electrical powers after a fortunate accident and meeting Lumion, a guardian spirit, team up to restore light – and power – back to the residents.
4-6 hours to complete, The Spirit and the Mouse is a casual game with easy puzzles, a semi-open world, and collectibles. As an electric mouse, zip through power lines, collect static from metal objects, and discover light bulbs to obtain additional abilities such as a useful electric dash, a lightbulb locator, a photo mode, and maps of the four districts. Special note; The Spirit and The Mouse offers a colorblind mode and has a dedicated squeak button as well as fun hat apparel to wear. Overall, a warm, feel-good adventure that’s easy to recommend.
