THE SHORE is a game about the mystery of the unknown, set on a forbidden island filled with horrors. Based on the works of H. P. Lovecraft, the story features many of his best-known creations and more. Players will see the world through the eyes of Andrew, a father in search of his lost daughter. Players will experience The Shore through immersive, atmospheric gameplay and encounter the most nightmarish Lovecraftian entities, all while solving mind-bending puzzles. Try to survive as Andrew as he endeavours to save his daughter’s life and, perhaps, uncover the secrets lurking within his own sanity.
Presented with a Lovecraftian style, As players dive deeper and deeper into the mystery, they’ll face overwhelming odds, Andrew’s moments that will make you question his sanity, and a series of slow-burn scenes. It’s only by mastering the artifacts of the old gods combat mechanic that they can stay one step ahead of the darkness that tries to swallow the world of his, but will that be enough?
With the ghost of an action/mystery/horror play style and the mind of a psychological thriller, The Shore’s dramatic atmosphere, deep and multilayered story, and exceptionally tense, horrific combat sequences provide players with an overwhelming and stunning gaming experience.

An sich ein schönes spiel.
Die erste Hälfte des Spiels hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht, auch wenn ich mich am Anfang etwas verloren gefühlt habe.
Pluspunkte:
- Atmosphäre
- Musik
- Grafik
- die 2 kleinen Erschrecker
Aber ab der 2. Hälfte (ab den Moment, wo man ins Maul springt) fand ich das Game einfach nur noch nervig.
Verfolgungsjagten, man weiß oft gar nicht, was das spiel von einem möchte (und ich bin nicht auf den Kopf gefallen, zumindest denk ich das xD) und allgemein einfach zu viel hin und her gespringe zwischen was auch immer. Sagen wir, es war dann einfach nicht mehr meins =)
Trotzdem ist das spiel spielenswert, auch wenn nicht für 20€ (habe es mir im Sale für 0,99€ geholt)
Daher beim nächsten Deal einfach zuschlagen und genießen

Wer ein Fan der Lovecraft-Geschichten ist, der kommt an diesem Game kaum vorbei. Es sind wirklich einige WOW-Momente dabei. Epische Panorama-Landschaften bei denen ich auch ein paar gute Aufnahmen machen konnte. Kreaturen sind nicht so zahlreich dafür schön gestaltet. Aber das Game zieht sich auch nicht so in die Länge. Super Spiel.

This game is an experiment. A Cthulu-Lovecraft cabinet that shows what could be possible. Graphics and sound are very nice, the story starts out promising but ends up running and shooting monsters in various enviornments until the end when Andrew's fate is revealed.
It is clear that any Lovecraft related game will be a feverish dream that isn't always logical, but even with the environment and scenes provided, there is more potential. I am a huge fan, and it annoyed me that you couldn't explore and enjoy many of the sceneries because you have to run away from the monsters.

Wunderschönes, aber kurzes Spiel.
Guter Lovecraft-Horror und eindrucksvolle Kreaturen-Modelle – genau so, wie ich sie mir vorstellen würde!
Die Verfolgungen sind in manchen Passagen wirklich erschreckend.
Kauf es am besten im Sale wegen der kurzen Spielzeit, aber es ist auf jeden Fall wert, gespielt zu werden.

Beautiful but short game.
Great Lovecraftian horror and impressive creature designs — just how I would imagine them!
The chases are genuinely terrifying in some sections.
Buy it on sale due to the short playtime, but it's definitely worth playing.
