The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game – 7/10
My biggest complaint is that the game heavily expects you to know the movie beforehand. It’s a real shame. I was at least hoping for a simplified story mode, but the narrative is so fragmented that it’s hard to wrap your head around anything. The game would probably gain more appreciation if I remembered the TV show better, but watching it is something I only have planned for later. Even though the combat is very simple, it feels great. I really enjoy the mechanic of launching enemies into the air with a combo to deal massive damage, though it's a pity that some of these strikes feel quite random. The game also fails to explain things clearly—like the fact that the glowing golden aura around your character increases your stud multiplier, or when exactly you can perform those explosive finishing moves. Sometimes an enemy is stunned, yet the prompt for a finisher appears randomly, which is quite confusing to get a handle on.
On the plus side, the diving smash mechanic is fantastic—looping it from one enemy to the next like a yo-yo feels amazing and is definitely a highlight. However, I was a bit disappointed by the Spinjitzu. You can use it as a ranged projectile, but it’s a shame you can't use it on the ground as a chargeable attack. If only you could spin around freely like a Beyblade instead of just activating it in the air, it would have been incredible! It also hurts that you can't play as the classic versions of the characters with their original weapons. If the game wants to separate itself from the original series, why include characters from previous seasons in such an inconsistent way?
I’ve always liked the concept of unlocking an "all-powerful" character at the end. However, once you complete everything on the map, that character loses most of their utility outside of Free Play. To make matters worse, you can't even replay Story Mode with Free Play rules here, so these design ideas completely clash with one another.
Regardless, even if you aren't a fan of this movie reboot, the game is packed with cool nods to the original series and I had a solid time with it.

I was never a fan of LEGO Ninjago - I didn’t watch the movie or the TV series, nor did I collect the minifigures. Despite that, this turned out to be a concise and enjoyable game.
From a gameplay perspective, it’s nothing groundbreaking - just another LEGO title. However, it still delivers the very satisfying core loop of collecting studs, golden bricks, and unlocking new characters. One strange design choice is the decision to count collected studs as a single shared pool across the entire game rather than per level. This leads to heavy currency inflation, as there is very little to spend it on - aside from a few specific hub locations where you can build a structure or statue to earn a golden brick.
If you’re looking for a short, light-hearted game focused on collectibles and relaxed gameplay, I can definitely recommend it.

Nostalgia i świetna zabawa – polecam!
