The LEGO® NINJAGO® Movie Video Game: Fun, but Lacks Depth
The LEGO® NINJAGO® Movie Video Game, developed by TT Games, brings the charm of LEGO games to the action-packed world of Ninjago. Based on The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, the game offers a humorous take on the film’s story, where players join Lloyd and his ninja friends to defend Ninjago City from the evil Garmadon. The game retains LEGO’s signature humor and style, making it a delightful experience for younger players and fans of the franchise.
The story follows the movie closely, with cutscenes filled with jokes and over-the-top action sequences. While entertaining, it doesn’t expand much beyond the film’s narrative, making it less engaging for those already familiar with the plot. However, the vibrant world of Ninjago City, recreated in LEGO form, is a visual treat.
Gameplay is where the title shines and falters. The combat system introduces a more dynamic style compared to traditional LEGO games, with combos and special moves giving battles more variety. Exploration is rewarding, as players can find collectibles and unlock new characters. However, the levels can feel repetitive, and the puzzles are overly simplistic, offering little challenge to older players. The camera occasionally becomes a frustration during intense sequences, disrupting the flow of the game.
Overall, The LEGO® NINJAGO® Movie Video Game is a fun, lighthearted adventure perfect for younger audiences and LEGO enthusiasts. However, its lack of depth and repetitive gameplay may leave older players wanting more.

This game is good it needed more story. Because after you beat the story/game, you have no need to play them again since the world map are where the storys take place.
Side note: also 100% completed the game. (;

LEGO Ninjago: The Video Game is a fantastic mix of action, humor, and classic LEGO charm. The story is surprisingly engaging, following the adventures of the ninja team in their battle against Garmadon. Whether you're a Ninjago fan or just love LEGO games, the narrative delivers a lot of fun with its goofy jokes and quirky characters.
The gameplay is packed with exciting combat and creative puzzles. It's fun solo or with friends, and the unique abilities of each ninja keep things fresh. However, the experience isn’t perfect. The cleanup for collecting all the golden bricks and extras can feel tedious, especially for completionists. The camera also has its quirks—while manageable on consoles, it can be quite frustrating on PC.
Still, the charm, humor, and gameplay outweigh the minor frustrations, making it a great time for fans of the genre or series. Just prepare for a bit of patience if you're going for 100%.

I played LEGO Ninjago quite a while ago, and I still have fond memories of it! The game is a fantastic blend of action and humor, capturing the essence of the LEGO universe perfectly. The vibrant visuals and creative levels kept me engaged, and the characters were a blast to play.
I remember the satisfying combat mechanics and how fun it was to unlock new abilities. The co-op mode added to the enjoyment, making it perfect for playing with friends or family. It had that classic LEGO charm—exploring, building, and solving puzzles felt rewarding.
While I haven't played it recently, the fun I had still lingers. If you're a fan of LEGO or just looking for a lighthearted adventure, I'd definitely recommend diving into Ninjago. It's a great way to relive some LEGO gameplay!

Long before time had a name, the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago using four elemental weapons. But when he passed, a dark presence sought out to collect them all: Lord Garmadon. So I, Sensei Wu, his brother, sought out to find four ninja to collect them first.

Given the track record of the LEGO movie games, you might be concerned at first when discovering there is also a game for Ninjago's movie, but unlike the other adaptions, not only is Ninjago's good, it's unlike any other game TT has made. It's also one of the quickest to complete, with me personally coming in at 18 hours, not much longer than my completion time for Indiana Jones 1.
The way that TT makes the regular games is completely thrown out the window this time around. Levels are completely absent, making use of the game's open world hubs instead. A new skill point system is introduced, and by the end of the story you should be fully upgraded. The 1M Stud level is still here, in the form of a Godzilla-esque city destruction, where multiplying your combos makes it beatable much quicker than any other game's level.
Studs are also of little concern here, with the typical level stud bars being replaced in favor of a game-wide one, working as a level up system. Once you've gotten to the maximum level, you'll have no more reason to look for studs since everything you unlock across the hubs are free. There are also dojos located across the world, which are required for 100%, and also work as good stud farms for levelling up.
If you love the LEGO games, but are starting to find them stale, you absolutely need to pick this one up. It's certainly short, but its twist on the TT formula makes it a must play.
