I like exploring houses even homes for sell in real life. But I especially found the glass house very peaceful a place where I could call my own. I wish there was more detail about the people who lived there and why they left. I would recommend this for those who enjoy walking simulators.

I consider this a small donation to a potential future developer. It is only about 15 mins of 'gameplay'. As has been said the translations are shocking. But it has a seed of an idea. In this liminal space you can feel the sadness, and the diaries - even with their broken English - tell a sad story of placing work before family.
I bought it on sale, and suggest you do to. Consider it a tip jar rather than a purchase. I always like to encourage this sort of work, and everyone starts somewhere.

Playing The House in the Forest is a meditative experience. You are free to wander around a beautiful and serene forest with many walking trails, while listening to the soothing sound of flowing water and relaxing ambient background music. There are different natural landmarks including hills, a stream, a waterfall, and a pond. There is even a building with glass walls that has a bed in it, from which one can look out into the forest and see the stream that flows through it. After playing this game for about 10 or 15 minutes, I feel as though I want to go take a nap and dream of my own woodland paradise.
The English translation of the diary entries isn't perfect, but they are still mostly understandable. There isn't much of a background story anyway. The main selling point of this game is the atmosphere.

If the rather sad song "Cats In The Cradle" became a game, this would be that game. Whilst wandering home you find the abandoned home of a man who had it all. Except the one thing he needed the most. Kind of brings you up short and reminds you having it all isn't worth it if there is never any time to enjoy it or those you love.
EDIT: The true beauty of this game comes from reading the dairies and absorbing the story. Then wandering the beautiful surroundings you know the man who lived there missed. There are lakes, ponds, silken waterfalls and peaceful trails. There are pretty spots all around to just relax in.
Take in the view from the glass house, walk the trails and visit the waterfalls. Wander all over the map and see what natural treasures you find.

I really liked this game not because its super well made or because the story is amazing but because I think it has the potential to be something worth paying more than $3 for other than a couple overlaps every now and then the graphics are fantastic and i think if the story got fleshed out a bit more and maybe got expanded upon it could be a really good game
keep up the good work you amazing developer I cant wait to see what you do next
