Someone left money for you to choose a game from the Game Store just up the street from your house. You can pick any game you want but do not choose First Dreamer.
Each game has a unique challenge, can you beat them all?
The night holds many mysteries, there may be many different endings.
But remember, this story is only a prelude.
Features:
- Pick out an 8 bit game to play on your Radical 8 Entertainment System.
- Solve the games and other mysteries that might be hidden.
- Explore a strange neighborhood setting.
- Play with headphones and at night for a better experience.
- Discover multiple endings.

Firstly, this was not really a horror game (but with the low amount of owners at the time of this review, not sure if dev added tag or actual players). The graphics weren't anything great (they weren't super bad, just super simple). The story was also extremely simple and not really spelled out, even with going through all the endings (I was only able to get 3? I think). It just leaves the player to make their own assumptions, which is fine, but from what I did see (and think happened), it would have been a lot better to have the game show more of the actual story. The bulk of the gameplay definitely can be playing the actual minigames that seem to be based from other games (such as Mario and Flappy Bird). While some of them were frustrating (I wasn't a fan of Flying Machine as I'm not good at Flappy Bird at all), I still enjoyed playing them. The constant walking back and forth from home to the game store does make the game feel like a walking sim with minigames.
I didn't experience any bugs in the game, but the clock did have a graphical error (it does not show the 0 for the first minute number, for example, 10:05 would show was 10:5). The controls are a bit too sensitive and takes a little bit to get used to them (such as jumping too high on Pot Pie). On top of that, for games like Radical Skater, the skater would crash when getting too close to the wall/fence even if the skater didn't actually touch them.
Overall, is this game "horror"? No. But I do think it does have a lot of potential as horror/mysterious but just that it missed it by a long shot as the game is now. I think it would be worth the price tag ($9.99 USD) if it had a few more minigames or just more of an actual story. Even at the introductory sale price ($7.99 USD) it's too much for what's actually offered in-game. Would I recommend it if accurately priced? Sure, I did actually enjoy playing the minigames.

Just recently played through "The Game Store"
And i was surprised, in a good way.
Just gonna leave some pros and cons, and let you know my thoughts!
Pros:
Oldschool graphics. I love this style. This might be a con for someone, but i think it fit the game very well.
It runs butterly smooth!
Easy to understand the objectives.
Fun "minigames"
Affordable
Cons:
Not very scary. The atmosphere was decent, but i hoped for some scares!
Was hoping for some more objectives, this could have been much more than it was.
A little bit short for the price, affordable, but not too much content
Overall i had a good time playing the game, and i really hope to see either updates or a sequel to the game.
You have the opportunity to make something with the "16 bit game console / entertainment system" release soon.
It felt really nice and clean to play, something like this, with more scares added, woah, that would be incredible!
Heres me playing through the game, if anyone is interested in watching a full playthrough!

Waking up one day, Hearing whispers about buying games, play the game to a completion. Now, where I'm I? Is this the real world? Because everything looks relatively weird.
There's an a idea here. There are details in places (the few there are) that relate to the activities you're completing. Buy game, beat game, repeat for the next event. Everything is done to almost its minimum, and its too little. The house you're in as an example, is far too empty. The living room has some couches and pictures... That's basically it. The Game Store of the games title only has a handful of game titles. other then completing the games. They don't add any effect that are related to them. Other then maybe one. Which the game makes clear.
You'd think that with the games pricing (+$8 on steam) that there would be a lot. The number of games you play and the size of the store, is lacking. You play 8-bit games. There's a 16-bit console and respective games advertised.
I think the game came short. Both in what it delivered and its overall scope. As if there should've been several chapters long.
But if The Game Store sells for ~$1-2, I do recommend it. The 8-bit games are short too few. I would've changed some them to 4-bit games. As they're more represented as 4-biters.

Really well made short game.
The mini games were challenging.
The ending leaves you shocked.
Don't know what the time fragments were for.
Price was a bit expensive for what is it but, still enjoyed.

This was awesome. Not really a horror game in a traditional sense and kinda just super weird but I loved it. The pixel games were super challenging but really great. Also make sure to go for the alternate endings. If you just play through the main one I feel like you miss out on a lot of context or story even though I have no clue what is really going on in the game. Well worth trying out. If you want to see some game play you can check out my play through above,
