I got a refund after 4+ hours. That's how bad this is. The company pulled a scam and closed down. ONE week after EA release.
I actually respect STEAM for allowing this refund!

This was the greatest fail in the history of gaming, and I'm glad I got a front row seat to this disaster. I laughed from the moment the game started to the moment I got a refund.

I spent the best 33 minutes of game play of my life in The Day Before. Guys remember we have at least 8 months before the devs abandon the project! Get out there and enjoy this social experiment <3. For every like on this review I will purchase another copy " for myself".

If The day before has a million fans, then I am one of them. If The day before has ten fans, then I am one of them. If The day before has only one fan then that is me. If The day before has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against The day before, then I am against the world.
nobody read the reviews... so i will just say i am gay.
30 hours, refund accepted.

I'm 3.6 hours in and there are some flaws but its overall Ok. The gameplay loop is start in the hub, leave the hub get some stuff and get back to the hub. A guy with the starter gun shot me twice while i was at full health and killed me with the same gun that i shot him 3 times with. The Zombies are average so far. I always start in the city for some reason. Looting boxes is hard because the hitbox changes from a dot to a circle to an F and then you hold F but since there is no cross hair its hard to find the right spot for the F to pop up so you can loot. I havent killed anyone yet even with 2 point blank shotgun shells to the chest. I have been able to extract a few times and there is some subpar loot in the police station. The building is only in your lot after you're rich enough to waist money on stuff. I squaded with a guy only to get stuck at the doorway out because you have to hit spacebar otherwise your exiting with your squad is declined. Once we got out i never saw him again LOL. There's no way to tell what server you are on after you choose it and you all the servers are always full (right now) so if you leave good luck getting back in. Overall i do really like the game since i love the division only in this game i cant climb over anything but if your lucky you can jump on some things. Combat is kindy clunky but if you have no gun, then all you can do is run, no punching or stabbing or anything. I'm not sure if you can make it back to your loot once you die but again the game is fun if you are jones-ing for some zombie pvp action. Just make sure to waist all your money on gear and make money doing the missions that KEEP POPPING UP ON THE LEFT OF THE SCREEN! (annoying) A Queue for the servers would be nice and a better squad mechanic would be nice and above all else fix the looting because i cant even target the lady's purses that appear on tables and benches but have found the currency for buying things the 1 time i was able to loot one after 5 minutes at the same purse. Sorry i know this review is all over the place but thats how the game is too lol.

This is by definition a game, in every definition of the word. There is ground, at least 3 doors, and i can attest that there are at least 2 zombies in the game. I made friends with two other gamers, who greeted me with bullets i am still pulling out of my butt. This game should be reclassified as a psychological thriller, as i feel my brain melting out of my ears wondering why someone turned 180 degrees from me is headshotting me. All in all, i give this game a 9/10 for the sole fact that there is an NPC with a voice as smooth as butter. Much smoother than the game itself actually plays. Here is a quote from one of my spectators: "I'm a firm believer in the idea of leaving the best parts up to your imagination and this game encapsulates that ideology perfectly by letting you guess what happens between the frames" - StillPoptart

The open-world aspect, touted as a highlight, turned out to be nothing more than a vast, empty space with little to no meaningful interactions. The lack of dynamic events or engaging activities within the game world left me constantly searching for something to do, resulting in a monotonous and tedious gaming experience.
Moreover, the promised multiplayer experience felt disjointed and lacked the cooperative elements that were initially advertised. Teaming up with other players felt like a missed opportunity, as the game failed to deliver on creating a truly immersive and collaborative multiplayer environment.
Overall, "The Day Before" stands as a testament to unmet expectations and unfulfilled promises. It's disheartening to see a game with so much potential fall short in execution. Until significant updates address the numerous issues and missing features, I would caution anyone considering this title to approach with skepticism and perhaps wait for improvements before investing time and money.
