The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan

Dla wszystkich którzy lubią gry w stylu interaktywnej historii. Bardzo dobrze poprowadzona historia z dreszczykiem. Ciekawy finał. Na bardzo wysokim gra aktorska. Również styl graficzny jest bardzo dobry, jak na 6 letnią grę. Muzyka i udźwiękowienie to mistrzostwo. Mocno wpływa na wczucie się w historię.
Spodoba się każdemu, kto lubi gry takie jak np. Heavy Rain.
Czas mija bardzo szybko, a cała gra nie jest długa. Przez co ma się uczucie niedosytu. Na szczęście twórcy z tej serii stworzyli cztery gry z tej serii. Więc pozostaje do poznania jeszcze trochę historii. Bawiłem się bardzo dobrze.

Before I go into this review, I'm very much aware that - given this is the first and oldest Dark Pictures Anthology game - it's expected that it's going to feel dated. With that out of the way...
The controlling the characters felt clunky at times, and the quicktime felt a little weird. All that can be excused, though, it didn't really take away from the feeling of the game. The only problem I have with this entry is the camera angles (oh god the camera angles).
This game - due to being the oldest of the bunch - has camera angles stuck to certain places in each room, instead of just being a normal 3rd person-type camera. Some of these placements are HORRID, made walking around some of the rooms quite annoying.
All that complaining aside, this game is absolutely worth playing.
The characters were all quite nice and well-written, the interactions you can have between them were very fun to see and quite nice at times. The QTE sequences, while a bit dated, were engaging enough for me to not care. It's a Dark Pictures game. There's gonna be QTE's and they will be quite plentiful, same with the Keep Calm! sequences, nothing to talk about here.
As for the story of the game, this one is one of my favorites from the DPA. The premise seems very interesting, and the plot twist of this game was GREAT. It also felt great to figure it out before the characters did, and I also appreciate that the game expects you to act on your knowledge and should influence some of your decisions after you find out what's actually going on.
Fyi, I played this game on the Shared Story mode with my friend, this next section is about that specifically:
There was - obviously - a bit of desync between us both. It usually didn't matter that much, especially since the game often kept us pretty close to each other most of the time, so it had lots of moments where it could sync us together again. We ran into multiple softlocks, but nothing a chapter (or two behind) restart couldn't fix.
Overall, this game is great. It's definitely not as good as the next entries to The DPA, but it definitely stands well as the first game of the series. Buy it if you want, and DEFINITELY buy it if you have a friend to play with. It's a ton of fun if there's two of you playing it together, and that goes for every game from the series.
PS. this is what I would recommend starting with as your first DPA game, because, trust me, they get better, and because it's the first in the series, properly introducing you to The Curator and whatnot.

Są tanie straszaki, ale klimacik nawiedzonego statku też jest. Sterowanie mało precyzyjne, ale w sumie to się bardziej ogląda niż gra.
Grałem w co-op z jedną osobą, ale w piątkę znajomych to musi być super.
Za pierwszym razem przeżyły 3 osoby.

Bardzo dobra gra, fajna i ciekawa, trzeba zwracać uwagę na szczegóły i łączyć fakty ze sobą, tylko dla inteligentnych ludzi

Man of Medan nie jest wybitnym horrorem, ale jest bardzo dobrym interaktywnym horrorem do grania samemu albo jeszcze lepiej - z drugą osobą.
Największym problemem jest nierówna fabuła, przeciętne postacie, toporne sterowanie i duża liczba QTE. Największą zaletą są natomiast wybory, konsekwencje, możliwość śmierci praktycznie każdego bohatera oraz świetny klimat opuszczonego statku.
Co ciekawe, oceniam ją wyżej jako grę imprezowo - kooperacyjną dla dwóch osób niż jako klasyczny horror single-player.
Jeżeli masz ją za kilkanaście / kilkadziesiąt złotych - zdecydowanie warto. Szczególnie jeśli masz znajomego, z którym możesz przejść ją w co-opie.
I ważne: nie podchodziłbym do niej jak do „Until Dawn 2”. Until Dawn jest ogólnie lepiej napisane i bardziej dopracowane, natomiast Man of Medan ma bardzo ciekawy system rozgałęzień i jest świetnym początkiem całej antologii.

Symulator chodzenia, który niepokoi samą świadomością, że za chwile coś się wydarzy.
