THE CITADEL is a hardcore, brutal old-school shooter full of action that’s a throwback to the 90’s classics that we all love.
Fight through 6 Episodes of 30 action packed levels (and an additional 6 secret levels). Face off against 6 fearsome bosses.
Carry 14 different types of weapons, with obliterating secondary fire functions. Make the world tremble with 3 types of single-use special weapons.
・Unlimited Continues.
・You can continue trying until you break. Hub areas serve as respite if you find the episode to be too difficult.
・Completely skill based: no cheap Hitscanner, all projectiles. You live as good as you dodge.
・Huge enemy variety and diversity. From axe throwing cultists, to suicide drones, to mecha tanks, and flamethrower troopers.
Kick the Opponent into Lava!
・Light-weight enemies can be kicked and stunned. Get your positioning right, and you can also make them fall into a bottomless pit or lava.
Upgradable Weapons
・Some weapons can be upgraded or switched to superior versions.
Gibs!
・Enemies explode into chunks of meat or metals when they die. Ouch!
Optional Features: Leaning and Weapon Jam
The Citadel contains numerous optional features for added replayability and difficulty.
・Leaning can be enabled in a option menu. Dodging is not the only way to avoid the enemy fire.
・Weapon condition features can be enabled in a option menu.
・Automatic weapons can be jammed in the middle of a battle, and they will be eventually broken.

Это было увлекательно. За свои деньги, игра классная. Тут вам и бубсы с ножками от первого лица и расчлененка. 7 актов цитадели осилил за 7 часов.

Очень советую ознакомиться с этим мясистым шутаном, конечно есть один большой минус в однообразном цвете и текстурах. Но всё остальное с лихвой окупает этот недостаток. Хотя возможно игра слегка затянута.

Gameplay and gun play is nice and fluid
Sprites drawn nice but some people wont like goryness of dying animations

design of enemes and objects are high level but levels on it's own have to simple texturing (Bad bland on my opinion)
levels are simple,
difficulty could be higher
Noticeble amounts of bugs, even could be difficult to launch
(on 2 clean systems with diffrent combos of intel + nvidia on older combo game started 0 issue but on newer only after couple game reinstals and even after game some times crashed without anything happening)
Baaaad performance, game sometimes laggy as hell when nothing happaning and when many sprites (and it's less than you could think) are on screen

But in conclusion can say if you won't hesitative to tolaration of some bugs and crashes and can withstand mild gore
YOU SHOULD PLAY IT, maybe it won't be truly awsome experience or best way to spend time, but it defently worth at least a try.

Нормальный шутер. Надо только баллистику в меню включить и сложность подвыкрутить (градации под джойстик размечены). Еще проблема с бонусом на инвентарь - бустер на двойной инвентарь перезаписывает бустер на бесконечный. Так что на втором прохождении не все бустеры одинаково полезны.
