It's a nice and interesting game. Presentation of big cutscenes and big portrait sprites is top notch, artist behind it really knows what he is doing when they've got a big canvas in front of them. Smaller in-world sprites? Not so much, they're definitely not as good in quality and dynamic'ness, compared to the bigger cutscene slides.
But aside from great presentation and a fairly nice mystery behind it, there's a lot of tedious and seemingly filler content mini-games. No, I don't know how you could better spend that gametime and what you could do in the meantime instead of the minigames, but they sure feel forced and kind of unrelated to what the rest of the game is.
Crawling minigame is especially tedious, I did get through it easily on the second try, but just because I was deliberately waiting for Skye to do a check and then crawl. There's no prior indication to when she'll start checking (which is a feature in most segments like this), so you just wait and the shadow and then move, without really knowing when she might look again.
Maze minigame sets you back to the very beginning, so you have to start all over in there, if you suddenly fail near the end. And failing is not that hard there, especially when you consider bush a safe haven and then Skye just walks into it and sees you in that bush, while you think you're safe.
I might check out later episodes of this game, plot is alright. I just wish it focuses more on the narrative/exploring side of things, instead of pointless minigames and chase sequences (although in fair moderation they will help)
Also hey, how convenient! With all the minigames of the game I have now got over 2 hours in and can't refund it. I didn't plan to and I don't mind, but it's an observation I just made.
Overall - nice experience

the visuals are great, the soundtrack is great, the game is cute, and its pretty scary but still really enjoyable for a horror-wuss like me.

Cute, dark, pixel, horror game - simple and easy enough to play. Chapter select is a nice feature.
Theories behind this story are interesting and i'm excited for the next chapters.

to anyone who's thinking of buying this game, Do it. just make sure to bind action to spacebar. was in the fight and accidentally hit my windows key. besides my mistake, i absolutely love it and am eager for the next chapter. but i swear to god if somebody hurts boxers i will riot.

Back on August I saw this game on the Steam frontpage and went on a blind playthrough. It was a pleasant surprise.
The best way I can describe it is "point and click/puzzle/adventure mascot horror". Despite its gameplay simplicity this is a really well made and soulful game. Also it handles the "mascot horror" factor pretty well, where while it's a horror game with jumpscares and creepy stuff it doesn't take itself too serious due to its cute nature.
I may have found my new favourite niche series. Now let's wait and see what will they cook with the sequel.
