Every world needs its heroes. However unlikely they may seem. Join Wilbur, Ivo, Nate and Critter in another classic point-and-click adventure in the wicked world of Aventásia. Help them fulfill their destiny. A destiny as yet unwritten. A few years have passed since our heroes heroically defeated the arch-witch Mortroga. And their lives, like the lives of most people in Aventásia, are still in turmoil. The War of the Two Towers is over, but the wounds it left upon the land are still bleeding. The gnome Wilbur Weathervane is struggling with his new job as a teacher at the reopened School for Wizardry and Witchcraft. His magic wand is having a mind of its own and an assassination plot against the arch-mage overshadows the first democratic elections in Seastone.

Si le 1er volet était déjà un des plus long & dense dans le genre point n' click humoristique & devenu une petite référence moderne du style, ce 3ème jeu dans la série est encore plus massif à absolument tous les niveaux!
On reprend les mêmes 4 héros & on recommence, alternant les points de vues & histoires parallèles qui font suite au 1er.
(Il vaudra mieux avoir fait le 1er pour comprendre toutes les allusions & personnages récurrents)
Une profusion de dialogues avec le même humour absurde & loufoque sur fond d'héroic fantasy, des graphismes encore plus beau & détaillés, des quêtes annexes supplémentaires, le tout en anglais ou allemand avec sous-titres en français.
Basé sur les fondements des classiques du genre sur lequel il puise son gameplay traditionnel, il regorge de clins d’œil & de références un peu partout.
Presque parfait s'il n'y avait pas quelques lenteurs & puzzles un peu bloquant par endroits...
(le défaut classique de ce style de jeu, l'objet/quête/combinaisons d'objets qui manque pour que le reste se déroule logiquement...)
Bref, un quasi sans fautes monumental pour un jeu qui est presque trop long au final pour son propre bien avec une fin un peu ouverte pour un 3ème épisode qui ne viendra jamais.
P.S.: J'ai eu plusieurs fois un bug bloquant pendant une partie de dés avec le pirate où je ne pouvais plus rien sélectionner (dont le texte était resté en allemand de même...), donc sauvegardes régulières!

This game is better than the first one in my opinion. Everything is fully 3D animated (not 2D+), the music is great and varied, the characters and the dubbing are top level. Tons of lines. Animations are great, and design of characters makes it look like an animation movie which is great. But is is also a long and hard game (10+ hours with a guide) with some pixel hunting and some hard and annoying puzzles. Some implying switching between 3 characters... I played it with a guide the whole time to know what to do. Also, some annoying back and forth in Chapter 4 with the boat between various locations. It remains a very good game for the fans of the genre. The Raven, from those developers is much more simple with much less items for a plot which is not bad at all. Too bad those guys do not create point and clicks any longer.
