The Book of Unwritten Tales 2
Every world needs its heroes. However unlikely they may seem. Join Wilbur, Ivo, Nate and Critter in another classic point-and-click adventure in the wicked world of Aventásia. Help them fulfill their destiny. A destiny as yet unwritten. A few years have passed since our heroes heroically defeated the arch-witch Mortroga. And their lives, like the lives of most people in Aventásia, are still in turmoil. The War of the Two Towers is over, but the wounds it left upon the land are still bleeding. The gnome Wilbur Weathervane is struggling with his new job as a teacher at the reopened School for Wizardry and Witchcraft. His magic wand is having a mind of its own and an assassination plot against the arch-mage overshadows the first democratic elections in Seastone.

Hesitant recommend, since even though it is good, it's the weakest of the three titles in the series. Can't recommend playing it without having played the previous ones, either.
+ Good visuals
+ Nice audio/music
+ Likeable characters
+ Fully voice acted
* Too many pop culture references for my liking, the world setting would be strong enough to stand on its' own
* Sits in a weird spot where I can't recommend it to youngest members of the family due to cussing and such, but the story itself is "childish" enough that an adult might not fully enjoy it, which lands it somewhere in "teens and above" with age rating
- A puzzle or two felt a bit too trial-and-error to me
- Some bugs that required loading and/or restarting the game. I've heard of someone having a game-breaking bug, so I suggest multiple saves
- Terrible cliffhanger ending that leaves many questions with no conclusion, which sucks as this is the final game in the series
I'm glad I finally got around to finishing it after not having done so in a DECADE!? but I can see why I stopped originally, the previous titles hold up better. Journey is better than the destination here, there's still quality to be found, but given minuses above, I get a feeling the game was rushed out in some regard.

My favourite point and click of all time. I love the characters, the settings are varied and vibrant, and the puzzles are (almost) all a great time. The game is much longer than most point and click games which I have played in the past so get ready for around 15-20 hours of gameplay. My only criticism is that there is a cliffhanger ending, and the developers have stated that they do not intend to create a sequel to finish out the story. I was gutted to discover this as I love the world and all it's characters, however I still had a great time with the game and am happy to fully recommend to any fans of the genre.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is, without a doubt, part of the best point-and-click adventure series I’ve ever played. I’ve played all the games and parts in the series, and every single one of them stands out as a masterpiece in its own right. The love, creativity, and humor poured into these games is unmatched.
This second installment continues that tradition beautifully. The world is stunningly crafted, filled with vibrant, detailed environments that are a joy to explore. Every location feels alive and packed with charm.
The characters across the series are consistently witty, memorable, and perfectly voice-acted, and this game is no exception. The writing strikes an ideal balance between clever humor and heartfelt moments, often making me laugh out loud.
Puzzles throughout the game are smart, well-integrated, and satisfying to solve. Never too easy, never unfair. The pacing is spot-on, keeping the adventure fresh and engaging from beginning to end.
Whether you're new or a returning fan, this game and the entire series is a must-play. It's the gold standard for point-and-click adventures. I’ll be recommending The Book of Unwritten Tales series to everyone I know. A true gem from start to finish.

This is still one of the nicest and funniest point-and-click games I have ever played. I recommend it after playing at least the first one just for the story line.

Potent production values are on display for visuals and voice acting. Boosted by strong writing and a variety of characters there is a lot to like here.

Same high quality as the original but with improvements to the graphics and art rendering. Overall one of the best looking P&Cs I've played.
The series as a whole is definitely worth a play through, if a fan of the genre.

It was fun, but dragged much more in comparison to the first game. The fun is still there though and if you dont mind long point and click sessions, this game is for you!
