Spiritual prequel
the GameThe Alien Cube is a Lovecraftian first-person horror adventure, spiritual successor to The Land of Pain. You play as Arthur, a lonely man whose life is about to change dramatically when strange events start to occur after finding out about the disappearance of your Uncle Edgar. The world around you hides a terrible secret, a dark and occult reality in which your uncle seemed to have played an important part somehow. Tormented by nightmarish visions, you will need to embark on a journey to find out the truth and survive the darkness that is haunting you.

You wake up, bathed in sweat: you’ve been having bad dreams again. The strange cave, the occult symbols, the ritual site… and then that strange cube-shaped whispering artifact falling from the sky -it all seemed so real. But you are awake now, and true reality hits like a bucket of cold water: the breakup with Jenny, the move, your uncle Edgar’s mysterious disappearance… The doorbell catches you off guard: it is a letter, a testament from no less than your uncle, leaving you his apartment and a warning to get rid of all his manuscripts. It is time to finally go there and try to find some clues. What you don’t know yet is that this search will unchain a series of terrifying revelations, secrets that should stay buried forever, and that your worst nightmares will soon come out to the light of day.

SI recomiendo PERO:
-Píllalo en oferta.
-Apoya a los creadores pequeños e independientes.
-Gráficos y escenarios decentes.
La historia es normalilla tirando a mediocre. tiene sus puntos, el principio, el apartamento de tu pariente... (SPOILER: ver a Itaqhua deambulando entre montañas fue muy inmersivo, o varias partes del capítulo final en las que se vislumbra la grandeza del gran soñador en toda su magnificencia) pero en general es flojilla y no demasiado verosímil/consistente, lo que no me ayudó a meterme en la historia. No empaticé demasiado con el protagonista ya que todo va muy a la ligera y demasiado lineal... soltando píldoras que podrían haber tenido mucha fuerza (la escena del teléfono en las ruinas oníricas, o la misma aparición de Ithaqua...) que se quedan finalmente en nada...
Es cierto que como walk simulator, está bien, pero mecánicas como el salto o ciertos puzzles se me antojan un poco redundantes o absurdos/sin sentido, dando lugar a una especie intento de juego de plataformas en algunos momentos generándome una sensación extraña.

Los escenarios están bien trabajados, pero finalmente se quedan algo vacíos ya que hay poca exploración, realmente todo muy lineal; sumado al tema de las estatuillas que me hicieron estar más pendiente de buscarlas que de la propia historia del juego, recorriendo palmo a palmo los escenarios para nada realmente.
conclusión: si lo ves barato y te gusta la temática lovecraftiana hazte con él, ya que es un gran trabajo hecho por UNA SOLA PERSONA, lo que no deja de ser alucinante. Pero a nivel narrativo no tiene mucho mas jugo si ya eras gran amante de las obras del maestro de Providence.
Ánimo al creador, espero que siga trabajando en cosas así.

muy bueno y todo, pero el final deja mas dudas que respuestas. bueno, al puro estilo lovecraft, asique muy fiel a los cuentos con finales interpretativos subjetivamente. 10/10

Un juego espectacular, es como estar leyendo un buen libro y no poder dejar de leerlo, puesto esto ocurre con este juego, no lo puedes dejar. Logra meterte de lleno en la historia, este juego me ha dejado sin palabras, es demasiado bueno. Y muy admirable que algo tan bueno lo haya hecho una sola persona. Muy recomendable, no te arrepentirás de jugarlo.

Juego de Terror psicologico con trama Lovecraftiano que cuenta con 8 episodios, documentos e items que tendras que encontrar para avanzar y descubrir la historia, ademas cuenta con 8 secretos que estaran esparcidos por los distintos niveles, cuenta con una duracion entre 4 a 5 horas aprox. no tiene logros, pero esta en español y eso se agradece. recomendado.
