A fun sandbox game where you build war machines, collect resources and make factories. The thing I like to do most is building the biggest vehicle I can, and then put all my weapons on it to make a behemoth of destruction strong enough to win WW3 on its own.

While I still stand by everything I said below, it is important to note I believe you should stay away from the mods. Many of the mods will probably work without any issue, but when combined, they become a bit of a nightmare. The game without the mods is a great game, but since installing a few mods I thought would make for a better experience for me and my son has been nothing but a nightmare and has taken a lot of fun out of the game. It crashes constantly even though the mod loader states everything is working fine. It has gotten to the point it crashes as soon as it opens. Play the vanilla version which isn't really all that vanilla to begin with. Great times and fun had by all... right up to the point you introduce mods!
TerraTech is a great little game that you can let your kids play without having to worry about any content you may not want them to see. This is a game about creativity and involves a light amount of physics, so it is also somewhat educational. There isn't any killing or bloodshed, no alcohol or drug references, no demons or monsters, and hours upon hours of fun. You can replay this time and time again as the worlds are created from seeds similar to Minecraft. I would highly recommend this one!

Yeah its pretty fun. but there's only one playstyle. i wish there was more options regarding being able to turn down the obnoxious enemy aggro and spawns, i tried to do a harvesting peaceful run, but no, enemies every 10 meters, and the ONLY way to deal with them is blow them up, so why have the entire crafting harvesting aspect if you harvesting craft needs to be shielded and armed to the teeth just to stand a chance of getting back to base with enough resources to cover what you lost getting them.

TLDR, add settings to customise enemy spawning and AI

- Open the game.
- Fight everything and sometimes lose.
- Open Hawkeye and their rockets.
- Bully everything from air.
- Leave the game because inventory greyed out.

OVERALL FUN. Kill the hostiles, scavage the remains, make yourself bigger, faster, stronger and better. dont worry, they die slowly for your satisfaction. no blood, no gore. just tech on tech slaughterfests. the evolution from small and scared to big bad boss guy is slow and annoying, but very much worth it...and so very satisfying
