Temple of Rust
Somewhere in a distant universe, the world went terribly wrong. Evil powers took over the planet, spilling toxic waste into the groundwater and destroying any form of empathy left among humans. In this time of chaos and destruction you escape to the outskirts of this dystopian society and find a group of outcasts resisting the powers that be. Using an ancient, primitive projectile weapon and your boots to oppose the dangers of the wasteland. Sabotage militant corporations and fight your way to the multiple cores of corruption.
Gameplay:
You start out in a central hub, the camp. From here, you can choose one of the two main characters and enter a fresh run. After unlocking more parts of the game, you will also find others that join the camp and help you on your way. In each level there is a crate containing random boots or ammunition. Between stages you’ll meet a traveling merchant that offers you special upgrades, allowing you to create powerful attack combinations.
Features:
- Procedural seeded level chunks in six unique settings
- Fire tiny fanatic dictators, research chemicals or loaded machine guns with the sling
- Combine upgrades for different playstyles
- Local 2-player co-op
- Full input customization
- 3 difficulty settings and other accessibility features
- Compact gameplay aimed at quick session bursts (approx. 30-60 min. per run)

Finally came back to this after seeing the update list, got past the first boss! Its really fun, albeit sometimes a bit janky with its movement and combat.

NOTE: I HAVE NOT PLAYED ALL OF THIS GAME, SO SOME OF WHAT I HAVE STATED COULD BE INCORRECT.
This game is alright from what I've seen so far, the art is good enough for me to have no problems with it and the weapons/jump attacks are fine, but I do have some problems with the game.
One: The enemies have boring, sometimes annoying attacks and are weak on their own, but the Dev puts three trillion on top of you sometimes and that's not fun considering.(I do like the design of the enemies though).
Two: The dash or in this game the jump is useless, You start with two it takes forever to recharge and when I needed to get out of trouble turning to the dash did nothing for me. The items you can get to make your jump have different ability's (shoes) on use seem cool at first glance but because of the jumps slow recharge and very limited uses before it can recharge the effects, of the jump, at best will kill a rat.
Three: The weapons and shoes have no stats, this seems pretty inconsequential but for me it would just be a quality of life thing, knowing if the weapon i'm about to pick up does more or less damage then the one I already have, or if they do the same amount of damage (same goes for shoes but also with not knowing what the boots effects do, does it do DOT one big AOE attack, for now I'll never know) is, at least for me information I desperately want.
Still if your willing to give it a try, the game does have some charm and, who knows you might find all of what I've said to be nothing significant. Even if this review has deterred you I urge you to buy and play this game, just to test it out, see if it fits you. If it Doesn't them return it.
