Tannenberg
Tannenberg brings the massive battles of the Eastern Front in WW1 to life with 64 players fighting for control of key sectors of the battlefield, each one offering a distinct strategic advantage. Warfare between the Russian Empire, Germany, and their allies offers a fresh experience for first person shooter players and history enthusiasts alike. There are seven squads, 50+ weapons, six large maps that give players tactical freedom, and a 64 player game mode with full AI bot support so you can experience epic battles at any time! Everything has been recreated with the same attention to detail seen in Verdun, the first entry in the WW1 Game Series. This historical game takes place across the lakes, forests, mountains and snowy plains of the Eastern Front – it was inspired by the Battle of Tannenberg in 1914, one of the most iconic encirclement battles in history.

best maps out of the 3 games, which is the only main difference between the 3 games. verdun is a close second, with isonzo, unfortunately the newest and most expensive, being the worst of the trilogy. while it's interesting to explore multiple fronts of a war less covered in media, it's sorta dumb to break what really is the same game with different maps and factions into 3 different games, really only ensuring that the playerbase is unhealthily split between the 3.

A bit split on this game. This is pretty much a sequel to Verdun. Gameplay is the same, but maps are a bit different.
I feel the game developer would of been better off updating Verdun and calling this a DLC. It would have sold more and keep the community together instead of spread out on different games. I personally like the maps better on Verdun better as it keeps the matches more action packed.
5/10 - A Sequel to Verdun. Only pickup this up if your a big fan of Verdun.

Went to the front.
Got shot at.
Got gassed.
Got forced out of my trench.
Killed a guy.
He cried horribly as he agonized.
I got shot,
I saw my character make guttural sounds as he died in despair.
Repeated this process time and time again.
They turned PTSD into a game.

One of the few games in my life I bothered to get 100% achievements. It's very fun (it's probably one of the few games that make Bolt-Action feel GOOD), and extremely well researched. It is good to finally see a game with Latvian Riflemen, Hungarian K.u.K. troops, etc...
I only wish the devs had made Verdun - Tannenberg - Isonzo one big game (since it's basically just different maps and skins) because the player count is very low. Also, I dream of the day they make a Russian Civil War expansion.
The biggest flaw in this game is the bots. The bots in this game are infuriatingly stupid: they get stuck between points, don't follow squad orders. don't capture or hold points properly, and cluster togheter and don't advance. I wish we had a mechanic of sending bot soldiers to firing squads.

Turmoil at the front
Wilhelms forces on the hunt
There's a thunder in the east
It's an attack of the deceased
They've been facing poison gas

Turn the tide of the attack
And force the enemy to turn back
Two combatants spar
Hindenburg against the Tsar
Move in 12 battalions large
Into a Russian counter-charge
They'll be fighting for their lives
As their enemy revives

fun game, in discord we roleplay as young soldiers away at war during The Great War. We write sentimental letters, dive into the trenches, and save the world.
