Leider merkt man dem Spiel sein Alter an.
Für seine damalige Zeit war es grandios, jedoch nicht das beste Beispiel für "gut gealtert". Wurde allein durch die Folgetitel der eigenen Spielereihe immer weiter verbessert, womit man doch einiges aus den neueren Teilen auch vermisst.
Sowohl das Kampfsystem ist etwas zu langsam, als auch das gesamte Spiel fühlt sich ein wenig so an und hat nicht so einen Flow wie die Nachfolger.
Kann ich daher nicht zum Einstieg empfehlen und würde ich wenn eher den Nostalgikern empfehlen, die es einfach erneut (und in dem Fall auch ggf. mit zusätzlichem Charakter, je nach damaliger Konsole) erleben möchten.
