The next generation in adventure games, Syberia 3 takes you inside an enchanting, mysterious universe full of life for you to explore in 3D. Plunged into the heart of a world inhabited by a cast of interesting characters, you'll discover and experience a fabulous tale as imagined by Benoit Sokal.

interesting chars, good story, great adventure!!!
would have profited from an in game save
it's not consumer friendly having to copy'n'paste one's save files manually

Syberia 3 is not as dreadful as some reviews might suggest, which is why I still find myself recommending it — with significant caveats. It retains the atmosphere and spirit of the earlier titles and features the original voice actress for Kate Walker; however, the overall production quality falls short due to the underutilisation of the Unity engine, some problematic controls, and inconsistent voice acting quality and delivery, resulting in a game that appeared already outdated upon its release in 2017. It is also worth noting that the game was notorious for technical issues at launch. Thankfully, I only began playing only after many of these issues had been resolved, so I can confirm that the game is relatively stable now. Nonetheless, I understand why some players might have chosen to abandon it midway; it’s clear that additional development time and even the inclusion of quality-of-life features commonly found in other modern point-and-click adventure games would have been beneficial.
For those invested in the story and some puzzle-solving, Syberia 3’s narrative remains decent (essentially its saving grace) and the puzzles are passable (with a couple of exceptions), but it is undeniably the weakest entry in the franchise. Therefore, I would recommend this instalment only to dedicated fans eager to continue the story from Syberia 2, and only when it is on sale. Fortunately, Syberia 3 often appears at a huge reduced price during Steam sales, so you are unlikely to suffer from buyer’s remorse.
Disclaimers: The game lacks a manual save option, relying exclusively on automatic saves. It also does not support Steam Cloud, so you cannot resume playing on a different device nor recover your save files if you uninstall the game. Save files are stored locally on your computer, meaning you must manually back them up to avoid losing progress. Additionally, the game features unskippable cutscenes, which can be particularly irritating if you are replaying sections. While these issues are rather frustrating, they are not entirely deal-breaking. Just borderline.

After playing Syberia and Syberia twice, once when they were new and once again a few years later, I recently picked up Syberia 3. Other reviewers have pointed out that the game has a quirky interface and some troublesome bugs, but I had a feeling that the worst problems should be fixed by now. So I took a chance.
After once again beating Syberia and Syberia 2, I took on the challenge that is Syberia 3 and I eventually emerged on the other side. So, what's my verdict?
The interface IS difficult to live with at times. There is a delay between clicking and the execution, which takes a while to get used to. And the way you activate items from inventory takes a while to get used to. On top of that, the camera angles can be a further obstacle. The game IS quite difficult too and I did get stuck a few times. The main reason for getting stuck, is that it's hard to find some of the places that can be visited. Once I had to turn left into a forrest to find a critical location. Another time I had to go around what I thought was an impassable obstacle, in order to find a critical object lying on the ground. Once I went back through a gate and got stuck (possibly a bug), but was able to reload a recent save. A few times, looking up, down and to both sides while standing or sitting still in a location, is necessary to spot a special object. So be prepared to get frustrated, or keep a Walkthrough at hand if you are stumped. Unfortunately I never figured out how to create saves, so I had to rely on the auto save functionality. But it was OK. The Youkols can get on one's nerves too, but no more than Oscar did in the first games.
However, I did enjoy the game - a lot. The story is interesting and definitely better than in the first two installments (three if you include Amerzone). The graphics, while not superb, are definitely far better than in the earlier games. The brain teasers are often challenging, still logical. Some are more difficult than necessary, because the interface gets in the way of timing and precision. But I'm happy to report that there were no show-stoppers. The game ran smoothly and practically bug-free.
In conclusion: If you liked the earlier games, you really should play this one as well. It's in many ways an improvement. And if you have already read negative reviews, you might check the timestamps. The game seems to have been in a terrible state when first released, but this is no longer the case.

After reading several negative reviews of this game, I decided to leave mine here. Even though I haven't finished the game yet, I would like to say that it's been much better than I expected. Graphically I think the game is beautiful, the soundtrack is good and the story/puzzles are acceptable. It's not a masterpiece, but it's certainly not terrible. Even in relation to one of the most criticized aspects "the gameplay" I can say that it is not good, but if you play with the mouse (old point n click style) I'm sure you won't have any major problems. In my opinion, a less good aspect are the characters' voices that often don't correspond to the characters in front of us (for example, an old, fat woman who sounds like a young girl... it's a frequent inconsistency in this game).

Syberia 2

Sadly not so good like the other 2 parts. The story could be better. More mystery, the ostrichs are okay, but the mammuts was better. The temple could be better. The grahpics are fine even if the loading is to long & the controll is awful. Sadly only okay. Get it with high discount (75 % like me).
