About the Game”Whose blood is that on the walls?” -Josie
Josie is up for a challenge. Her dad, a retired superhero, has fixed his superhero training simulator and lets Josie go in there to play around a bit. After all, show us a parent who wouldn’t want to train their daughter to be a superhero? But then suddenly the training room goes rogue, and… Josie is up for a challenge.
In this tough, hand-crafted precision platformer, you’ll play as Josie, aka. Sunblaze, with a mission to complete your superhero training. The training room is full of puzzles, brain-tickling challenges, obstacles, TNT, spikes, drones… And a purrfect sidekick: the cat. You have got a cat. What else do you need?
Well, skills. That’s what you need. The ever-changing training room keeps on bringing you challenge after challenge, and you’ll stay glued up on your controller for hours.
Being a parent is hard, but most likely not this hard
Ok, all the parents who have not lost their kids in a mall or other crowd ever, raise your hands? It’s all good, at least you didn’t lose them in a hostile superhero simulator full of lasers, evil bots, spikes, and… Well, go and see for yourself!
WARNING: Playing Sunblaze may cause massive brain growth
You know, to survive all the levels, your brain needs to do some work. We know, we know, it might sound scary, but like Aristotle said: “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.”, and Quentin Tarantino put it even better: “Violence is one of the most fun things to watch.”
Oh, are you still reading? Go and get playing right now! We will promise you one thing: dying over 5000 times on one game has never felt this good.
(P.S. Dying is 100% optional, the already easy controls and gameplay can be customized with accessibility features to meet your own needs and wants.)

An excellent blend of precision platformer and puzzle. It’s a lot of fun, as the character should fly across almost the entire screen, requiring you to think about where to jump and what to activate next in order to complete the level.
I also really appreciate how the transitions between levels are executed in the game. Each new screen flows smoothly into the next right before your eyes, and it’s beautiful to see that they invested time into perfecting this aspect.
As for the downsides, there’s really only one – each level consists of a single screen. I believe this significantly hinders the game's potential. It definitely lacks larger levels that create a sense of space and adventure, similar to what you find in games like Celeste or Super Meat Boy.
However, despite this, it's still incredibly enjoyable to jump, move, and bounce off all these platforms, walls, and objects, discovering new possibilities along the way.
Overall, I highly recommend this game to platformer lovers.

Played on OG 512 steam deck without issues. This is fun, well made and tight precision platformer, just so good pure honest platforming bliss. Difficulty curve just right and gameplay so tight. Wow

It's a precision platformer. It's well made. It's challenging. If that's what you want, great.
My criticism is that there seems to be absolutely no learning curve. It's just hard from the get go. I've only done two chapters so far but the lack of a difficulty curve is off-putting. The last game precision platformer I played was Splasher and in that the levels get progressively harder. That was great as it encouraged you to up your game all the time. With Sunblaze I'm struggling to continue as it's very punishing all the time. It's like it wants to beat you down and it kind of wears me out. I like challenging platformers so that might sound a bit strange but that's how I'm feeling.
It's certainly not a bad game though and if you want a platformer that kicks your butt, this one certainly does.

If you enjoyed games like Escape Goat 2; you're going to love this one.
It's also the perfect type of game for the Steam deck; where you can easily play it for few minutes here and there... and in no times you'll end up noticing that you already played for more than 5 or 6 hours...

I got this game on sale when I was making badges.
I'm a big fan of celest, so I was interested in the game. I can say that I love the heavy platformer in the style of Celelest. I died several times and over and over again. I'd like to see those crazy people, what can do those "special hard mod lvls" without a single death, either you put X hours into the game or you have to go Asian. alI i can say that the "special lvl" are MUCH harder for me as in cestest.
speedrunners will love this challenging game.
the only thing I don't like is how low and little she jumps into the air and with double jump.
I recommend this jumping hell game
