Sugarcane Empire
Sugarcane Empire is a story dressed up as a clicker farm sim. In 30+ minutes, meet three generations of Chinese and American women: a Chinese farmer, a Chinese-American professor, and an American college student. Experience their family’s transforming story by running a sugarcane farm, employing pandas, and starting your own vanity space program.
Features:
– A story-game evolving through 3 stages: a text-based, minimalist clicker game; an illustrated, interactive narrative; and an 8-bit clicker farm sim.
– Farm sugarcane in 3 settings: from the confines of a hospital bed, at the farms of 1940’s China, and in a pixel-art parody of 21st-century capitalism.
– Custom soundtrack by theimpliedbear
– Illustrations by Julia Lee
– Pixel art by neguritab

A beautiful, touching journey through time. Definitely recommend downloading if you are a fan of relaxing clicker games. Incredible music and visuals. Impeccable attention to detail.

What a cute game! I'm the type of person that doesn't like games that stress me out, so if you're like that you'll probably like this game. It's a nice, calm tycoon/clicker type of game. The music is calming and the story is easy to follow. The farming part is easy to learn but you do have to put in some work to get a big farm.
Good vibes!

It is a bit buggy and crashed once, but it's a nice story and an interesting read. I enjoyed the 25 mins I did play.

A fun little game. The upgrades are a little expensive when you start out, adding tiers to them could fix that
The start was a little cringe too. Not the grandmother's story, I thought that was very endearing. It was more the bit where the daughter was described as having "American ideals" or something
Found a bug: After I buy a panda, I have to restart the game in order for them to be put on anything besides "auto"

This game is very interesting and original due to how it takes the gameplay mechanics that you might expect to find in a "clicker"/"Idle" game and then uses an interesting progresion system atached to the story the game wants to tell you. If you like the game from this kind of genres you'll probably enjoy this one.
Here you have some footage of the game:

pretty good but gets a bit boring after a while, but i'd say it's a good little while you can have for free

Before I played Sugarcane Empire, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
