Simply the best RTS. From the time it appered to this day.
It has the engine that can handle masses of units and huge battles with combined arms.
It also has basic level resource managmet (Ammo,health,experience)
(dont play single player maps where the creator has given AI hundred artillery that fire in a fraction of second to your 1 man...thats just lazy map making)

Nostalgic for me Does not hold up well in 2024 but an extremely realistic game (with troop movement and war tactics) to an extent where even 'easy' can take you hours on a single mission

You like it hard? You like it old school 2d? No building production - this is the game for you.
Cons - damn enemy artillery shoots like an automatic turret, no indication where enemy vehicles can spawn from the edge of the map and no indication if you will get 10 or 10000 more people as reinforcements in that mission

To my mind, one of the better WW2 games, and it is Not just about the US being the Only Allied force. Great choice of units, and you play the missions how you want.
The only downside is the way you can not upgrade your units, and the lack of reinforcements when and where you need them.

Search on youtube for the HD mod so you can make the game bigger than a CRT monitor :)
