This game surprised me!! Looks a bit childish at first but its a quite complex RPG / Strategy kind of Settlers but with large online world split into knigdoms.. where different alliances take place with real human players behind.. therefore you either fall into wrong company that will use you and everyone around.. or you find a group of people from around the world that you will have interesting conversations, good teamplay, common development goals, help each other, and simply have fun together. To be honest this online community approach is what makes me come back and play :-)
As a general goal you need to make your kingdom win different challenges. World is divied into kingdoms that consist of alliances. Strongest alliance (not always the best or kind) controls the crown of the kingdom. There are lots of different minigames and calendar scheduled events that allow you to get different kind of artifacts that enable troops hire, skills development, research economy/warfare/skills/etc, building/gathering speed, and many many more. There are also in-game purchases that enable rapid development and unlock some unique items that are not available otherwise.
What I don't like and really need improvements is the laggy game UI/UX that is terribly slow (forget about playing in VM) requires clicking several times the same button and wait for the action (on a high end PC), there are lots of distractive actions that require you to click several places in order to perform single action or incoming messages are spread into too many different sections, etc. I only play this game in a short breaks so time is important.
There is a PC/Desktop and Mobile version.. I wish macOS, Android, and other OS builds (like BSD) would be nice to have!

Plenty to do without having to pump $ into the game. A bit confusing at times- but that ends up adding to the enjoyment once you figure things out.

"Stormshot, a thunderous mix of excitement and frustration, outshines its rivals in explosive gameplay."

Feeling like a duck in a hurricane with Stormshot! Graphics so sharp, they could slice a virtual tomato. Storyline? More convoluted than my ex's lies. Still, the chaotic fun is worth the mental gymnastics!

Drawing parallels to classics like Call of Duty, Stormshot impresses with its tactical gameplay and stunning graphics. However, it falls short in providing a compelling narrative, a feature its genre counterparts excel at.

Remember Evony? Remember the sexy ads for Evony? "Come play, my lord!" At the strategic level, this is Evony, but at the low level, it's more of a fun puzzle game. Like the Stormshot ads, there are fun Sharpshooter segments where you try to hit a pirate or save a villager by ricocheting off obstacles and hitting special objects. Like the Evony ads, there are sexy lady heroes on your team. Like Evony itself, you are building out an estate, with armies, buildings, farming resources, researching, leveling up, you join an alliance, and other players can attack and destroy your estate while you sleep at night. And like Evony, each level up doubles the time and resources to build, so eventually it could become a giant time suck. But like Evony (and other free-to-play games) you can buy speedups, resources, and prestige with real money, so if you prefer, it could become a giant money suck instead. Leveling up to world class could cost thousands, not a great value. But F2P players don't need to buy speedups or resources -- at lower levels, it's not hard to earn resources, and there is a way to speedup instantly without spending resources. Unlike Evony, there are ghost pirates, mermaids, magic, animated battles, quests, gear, and holiday themes, and there's plenty else to do if your'e waiting for an upgrade, so it's more fun. No in-game control to exit? Just close the window. But will you lose current progress?

Venturing into the realm of first-person shooters, Stormshot impresses with its unique mechanics and fluid gameplay, but falls short when compared to genre titans like Call of Duty in terms of narrative depth.
