“Stone Tales: Based on True Paintings
Stone Tales is an action platformer featuring the adventures of two brothers on their quest to become the greatest warriors their tribe has ever seen. Embark on an epic quest and fulfill your destiny.
Buga is strong and with his shield can protect himself from attacks, while his brother Uga displays his prowess with the spear. Both want to become great warriors of the Ukelele tribe. Discover through prehistoric rock paintings an amazing adventure that will take you across lands, into the minds of the brothers and through history itself.

For those wanting a video, I put it at the end.
Stone Tales is a side-scrolling platformer developed by Yellow Worm Studios and published by Black Shell Media. It incorporates the use of two main characters with different playstyles that you usually control at the same time. The plot is a simple one, where the two main characters must prove themselves to become warriors in the tribe and then save their familys from a rival tribe.
The games art style is very pleasing and designed to look like a stone age cave painting. The minimalistic approach was a great idea. I especially like the bumps and ridges that give the impression that you are playing the game on a cave wall. The music is fantastic as well, a mixture of new age instruments with the older sound of what you think the cavemen must have made with their limited resources. The gameplay is well implemented as the two play styles work well together. One in the front guarding the one in the back who is chucking spears at the enemy.
The only problems I have with the game is that, mainly due to the coding in Unity, the game runs poorly when any other process is running in the background. It made it weird for me to record, as the game keeps stuttering and dropping below 60 frames. That being said, when there are no processes in the background the game runs smoothly. The other thing is that the game feels very much like it was designed for someone to rage at. There were many parts of the game where I could barely get past, and then I was confronted with another enemy in a difficult place, was killed, and set all the way back to the beginning. The game feels like it was designed with someone pointing a camera at their face while playing for a Youtube video.
All in all, Stone Tales is a beautifully crafted game and I would recommend it to any who are looking for a new platformer to play.

Stone Tales is a relativly unique game. It is a platformer, but the style of the game is spot on, the gameplay is very different (but can get repetative), and the story is average. Despite the story being average, it's quite a nice little gem.
This game is done to look like cave paintings, or art done by cavemen. It is a platformer, which fits really well with the style, as it gives you that side-on view. The 'caveman' style is accompained by the dialogue in the game being written crudely and in broken English. This broken English feels a little silly (probably meant to be some kind of comic relief), but does make the 'caveman' style hold up. Very few colours are used, the background is often grey or brown, holding with the style, and the only real colours used are red, orange and green. This gives the game a nice dark feeling, like you're in a cave.
The gameplay is not unlike Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons, as through most of the game you need to control two characters at the same time. This starts off as a little awkward, but you soon get used to it, and it ends up giving the characters new ways to cooperate, with one character attacking, and one defending at the same time, for example. The two characters you play are also brothers, drawing more similarities to A Tale Of Two Sons, one of the brothers is strong and defends with a shield, and the other is very small and attacks. Although this gameplay is very different than most games, it can get a bit repetative, as most levels seem to be you doing a very similar thing, but variaty doesn't seem to be a strong concept in caveman life.
The story is nothing really that special. No real plot twists or anything. You are brothers, you go kill things, and your tribe gets overrun with a rival tribe, you then need to save everyone, by killing more things . The story isn't terrible, but I don't think you'd play this game for it's plot. But the plot does have some interesting parts, they are not that memoriable though.
I do recommend this game, it's quite a nice little indie game, the art is really nice, and not like other games, the gameplay is very different, and like the art, not like other games, but the story is quite average, like other games. An average story is not a bad thing, but if you are a real plot nut, you might want to just watch a playthrough for this game or something.

A fun lil' platformer game set in the Stone Age. You simultaneously control 2 characters; a faster, leaner brother that throws spears and the slower, bigger brother that wields a shield to defend themselves (and a of couple other uses). Music is easily one of the standout features and always matching with the situation on screen. The Stone Age setting also lends itself to the visuals and even the text. My biggest gripes are that since A/D always control both brothers, it can be a chore or difficult to get the shield brother back in front if the spear brother ends up in front and that the Help menu is halfway useless, showing incorrect buttons for various actions (just use the in game tutorials). Takes around 2 hours to beat depending on your skill.

Took me about 2 hours to complete. I enjoyed it, was a fun game.
Controlling both brothers at once provided with a decent challenge.
No bugs, glitches or crashes. Was a smooth experience. Why not try something new?
I recommend!

6.9/10 – Cave Art Springs to Life in This New Platformer!
This game is pretty well done; it has an impressive art style and some fluid controls. You control 2 cavemen on an epic quest; each has an ability that compliments the other. You move the characters forward simultaneously, but each character has a different button to jump. It's a real challenge at times!
This game reminds me of Brothers, but less advanced and adds a cool combat element to the mix. You use one character as defense and the other as offense. Each stage lasts about 20 minutes, so total playtime is around 2 hours. I didn't have any issues; I just would have loved some more content pertaining to the storyline.
Worth $2.75-5; campaign is somewhat short but enjoyable! I'd grab this on sale!

Interesting game if youre into button pushing. I wonder why nobody plays it, seems like it could be popular.
Tribal painting graphics are pretty cool
