Stereo Aereo is an action rhythm game that is inspired by the pop-culture influences of the 80's. You, the player, have to make sure that the mediocre space rockband Stereo Aereo, gets to their life changing concert, on time, in this comic styled sci-fi game. You will face extraordinary situations in which you'll need to make use of your innate sense of musical rhythm. Overcome Stereo Aereo's challenges by avoiding police, escaping prison, battle hordes of space mobsters, and face of the Queen of the space dump, in order to reach your 5 minutes of fame

So if you're into games like guitar hero or rock band then you will more than likely enjoy this, it's just a lot smaller.
It's not an amazing masterpiece but it's a simple easy to play indie arcade game, it challenges your reaction skills and puts your rage meter to the test, but it is fun with a cool 80s soundtrack that keeps you rocking.
Graphics
No problems graphics wise, the cutscenes are cartoony and the gameplay looks great and all blend in nicely together to give it that retro space look from the 80s
Gameplay
Its similar to guitar hero where you hit the right colours at the right time except with this you have to move your ship left or right when the objects reach your beat line, kinda like your strumming a guitar funnily enough, other than that its a case of moving at the right time dodging obstacles and blowing some up until you reach the end.
Each level gets a little harder as you move on but they're easy to adapt to and unfortunately, there's only 8, I would have liked to have had more but oh well.
And the difficulty settings are a little pointless as they don't really make the game harder it just gives you fewer lives, so if you can clear the levels without being hit then its easy on all difficulties.
Overall
A fun and typical arcade game with a classic retro rock theme that gives short entertainment, I would love to see more games like this but this is a great start so far for such a small dev team, lots more potential for this and I also didn't come across any performance issues, great stuff!
For those interested here's some gameplay to enjoy

A fun cross between rhythm game and vertical shooter. Dodge or shoot obstacles, get points by doing it with good timing.
The soundtrack is fun - 80s style electronic music kinda stuff. (unlike Audiosurf, you can't play to your own music)
The story is (intentionally) extremely corny and cartoony.
Just 10 levels, but they are quite challenging, and there are 4 difficulty levels, and a bunch of achievements to aim for.
A nice little game to fill in half an hour now and then.

The band is chilling at the Rollin' Rocka Club having a drink and Rock Rocket is discussing a crazy dream he had the night before. You're interrupted by your agent calling with the news he has a gig for you to open for the hippest band in the galaxy at the Galaxy Fest. We now choose which character we will play, there are 3 in total. Soul Old Orleans, Rock Rocket and Harmony Riff, each having their own ship. You must reach the venue on time avoiding the obstacles while trying to get the best score possible. Go with the flow of the music, let the beat become a part of you as you weave in and out of traffic. There are those who do not want to see you make it to the show and will try to stop you. Do not get too relaxed, you made it through the traffic but the level boss is waiting for your arrival after every stage.
Released on Dec 14, 2016, by the developer The Stonebot Studio, and published by Ludus Games. It is their first release on Steam, they also have a new release scheduled to come out this month! This indie title is a humorous, rhythmical, bullet hell, obstacle course, score attack with a retro design. It features partial controller support, which I used my Xbox 360 controller without issue. It's an amusing story driven game with a rocking 80s themed soundtrack. There are 4 difficulties to accommodate any skill level, from casual to hard-core players. Compete with online players for the high score from around the world with the Global Leaderboards. There are 2 types of gameplay included, a story mode, and an arcade mode.10 levels in each of the game styles. Optionally included is a tutorial to teach you the mechanics of the game.
For settings, there are preset graphics quality ranging from low to ultra; resolution, along with fullscreen or windowed mode. For the audio, you may change the following volumes, master, sfx, music, and voices. Also, you may turn on and off subtitles from here. The controls for the keyboard and controller are also shown here. None of the controls are rebindable, so you must use the presets.
Quite an intriguing game, I am not really into the guitar hero type games much, this blends in other genres for an unusual mixture of gameplay. It requires honing your reflexes, as you progress in the stages the speed will steadily increase, faster and faster. I was taken back to the days of playing Battle Toads, as one of my favorite parts of that title was the obstacle racing it provided. My reflexes these days are not near as good as they where back then I am afraid. It was still a lot of fun digging into the levels. The balance is pretty good, all too often I find games you can get through the levels easy enough and the bosses are overly hard. For this title, the bosses challenge level is in tune with the difficulty level you have chosen. It has fair replayability with the 4 levels of difficulty to master and 2 different game styles.
Achievement hunters should note that some achievements are difficult to acquire.

I enjoyed this one, though I can understand that it may not be for rhythm game aficionados, considering that you can't adjust the audio offset. For me though it was fun dodging and occasionally shooting to the rhythm of music, and I don't mind that some Perfects I got I might not have deserved and some that I missed maybe I did. I only needed the Perfects to replenish lost health, I wasn't in it for the high scores. Which is a good thing, because I don't think the leaderboard / high score list works...
In any case, I personally recommend this games to those who are like me and enjoy challenging fun even if there's some lack of precision.

A treat to fans of the 80's.
Stereo Aereo is a rhythm/action game with 80’s aesthetics and a surprisingly good story mode that few games of the genre has.
The game has all the needed attributes: a great story, decent graphics, stylish comic book cutscenes and an original soundtrack that fits perfectly with the rhythm. The songs and the aesthetics reminds me a lot at the Guitar Hero series as well as the gameplay.
It has its flaws, but overall is a fine addition to the rhythm genre.
PROS:
+ Story mode
+ Soundtrack
+ 80’s aesthetics
+ Voice talent
MIXED:
- Graphics can be a little busy sometimes.
- More variety of gameplay would be nice.
CONS:
- None really.

Nice short little rhythm/shooter game. Unless you somehow want to get all the achievements or get some high scores (which I feel wouldn't be as fun as with similar rhythm games with more consistent mechanics throughout), the main attraction will likely be the story mode, which should last around an hour and a half if you don't fail or restart too much. The story itself is okay: it feels relatively accessory to the whole experience, yet serviceable and sometimes a tad funny. I must admit however that voices and dialogues do get annoying at times. Visuals are mostly still during cutscenes (again, they do what they're expected to well enough), but quite varied, bright and interesting during gameplay phases!
I enjoyed the mechanics, specifically being encouraged to evade obstacles at a precise moment (either at a specific distance in front or at the last minute). The only serious annoyance I had was with some obstacles having very different shapes, thus needing to be evaded at unclear times until you get the feel for each individual type (thankfully the music does help), and sometimes being tough to read altogether (like on which row you're supposed to be to evade them properly). As a side note, I particularly enjoyed the last two songs (out of ten), which reverted to more readable obstacles while still providing fast and significant challenge. Overall, it remains a well thought out, interesting and original enough concept.
The music does the job really: it has good rhythm and a light, chill vibe, like the story itself. All in all, for just a few dollars? I'd say why not!

If you're going to play Stereo Aereo I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you play on normal at first. The game is way more unforgiving on hard than on normal.
That being said, it's a fairly fun, challenging game. The music was very hit or miss, most songs were just okay, the two I liked the most happened to be the first, and last stage songs coincidentally. If you want a challenging music based game for cheap (4 dollars), you really can't go wrong with Stereo Aereo.
