State of Mind
Berlin, 2048 – The world is on the brink. Lack of resources, illnesses caused by polluted air and water, crime on the rise, war. Governments and companies promise remedies through technological progress. Drones and humanoid robots replace humans in the public sector, everything is interconnected, surveillance has become omnipresent. Richard Nolan is one of the few journalists openly criticizing this development. When he wakes up in hospital after an explosion and finds that his wife and son have mysteriously vanished, Richard realizes: he and his family have become more than just bystanders in a storm of rivaling ideas pertaining humankind’s salvation between dystopian reality and digital utopia. Instead, they find themselves right at the center of it.

A visual story/detective story in a cyberpunk-style future with stylized polygon graphics.
+ Visually strong style, even if the people design feels a little awkward.
+ Very decent voice acting.
+ Good contrast between two worlds.
+ Very good set-up for the story, most things are signaled well.
- Choices do not feel very consequential.
- Controls feel a little slow/sticky.
- The pupils REALLY bug me.
- Some of the arcade/stealth sections feel out of place in the rest of the gameplay.
Very good on a discount, and it takes about 10 hours to finish the story.

I had fun with this game. It has an interesting visual style, cool vibes and an intriguing story.
Perhaps the full price is a bit much for what it offers, but great on a discount.

I read many of the reviews before purchase and decided against to buy regardless. In my defense it was on sale. And I am glad I did. The game is a little clunky, sure. But so are many other games in this style. I found the story intriguing and made me question ai, moral grey areas and what consists of a family. I had no idea where the story line would go but was pleasantly surprised to see where it went and the choices I made.
If you like narrative story driven point and click adventure games with character choices then I recommend giving this game a go. If you are looking for dynamic mechanics and a game that will challenge you- try Cybermanhunt or Citizen Sleeper.
Cheers
P.S. Was happily shocked by Doug Cockles voice acting as the protagonist. He voices Geralt in the Witcher game series.

Amazing Game! Story is interesting and keeps you hooked to want to know more every step you take. Music is beautiful and sets the mood as it should. Visually looks really good and the art design is unique. Such an underrated game. 9.5/10

A good adventure but it doesn't leave you much freedom as it almost feels like watching a documentary, your choices, even if few, will be fundamental for the end of the game but there are too many dialogues and the things to do are limited, too bad, still a good game.
My Final Score is
78% /100

Please more of these games! I always enjoy indie European games not just in cool, chic visual and music, the story telling is always another level. Puzzles are not hard to crack at all as long as you focus, which is really hard to miss, not in the way those for the sake of hard puzzles burning you and development budget. I would say in the perfect pace of a game that you can relax and enjoy art of technology.
One more thing I'm sure will be updated in future version of 2 crash downs. 1st in very beginning of the game and 2nd when John are with Henry and Sally. Both can be fixed by easy search of online solutions.

It manages to nail some things quite well: most notably, the plot is believable and the writing is nicely done. Voice acting is also more than decent and the environments are pleasant to look at. Although it's not a big budget game, all these components are done better than in other games, sometimes hugely hyped with 100X the budget (Starfield, I'm looking at you).
If you have any interest in the topic discussed (you should, as the transhumanism movement has been gaining a lot of traction, and will have dramatic consequences for humankind) you will enjoy playing this.
Just keep in mind that this is a strongly narrative driven game, where interactivity and freedom is very limited. It's little more than a very guided interactive novel in fact. There are a few minigames which I didn't enjoy much and it seemed to me they have been added just to add some interactivity.
At times it drags a little too much, and there are some janky movements and dialogues, but it's to be expected in the kind of game you are more likely to find in your pile of shame (I got it bundled, in fact) rather than explicitly buying it. Although, at 90% discount now, I think it's a pretty good deal and worth the money.
