Battlefront II aus dem Jahr 2005 ist für viele Spieler schlicht ein Stück Kindheit und gehört zu den absoluten Klassikern unter den Star Wars-Spielen. Trotz seines Alters bietet es noch heute ein unglaublich spaßiges und vielfältiges Erlebnis, das sowohl große Schlachten als auch das typische Star Wars Feeling perfekt einfängt. Aus heutiger Sicht wirkt das Spiel natürlich grafisch veraltet, die Steuerung ist teilweise hakelig und manche Mechaniken sind nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Einige Modi oder Server sind heute kaum noch spielbar, was den Zugang erschwert. Grundsätzlich bleibt es ein fantastisches Spiel, das mit seinem nostalgischen Charme und der einfachen, aber effektiven Spielmechanik auch nach so vielen Jahren nichts von seinem Spaßfaktor eingebüßt hat. Für viele Fans ist es und bleibt es das ultimative Star Wars Erlebnis.

Es macht auch nach 20 Jahren noch Spaß :-D Zu der Musik als Lord Vader Rebellen plattmachen oder durch den Raum fliegen und Ti-Fighter abballern...herrlich!

NOSTALGIE ! eine Hinwendung zu vergangenen Zeiten, die in der Erinnerung oftmals stark idealisiert und verklärt reflektiert werden. Dabei kann es sich sowohl um geschichtliche Epochen als auch um biographische zeitliche Gegebenheiten handeln.
