Star Trek: Bridge Crew
Star Trek: Bridge Crew will immerse you in the Star Trek universe. With a new free update, play in either VR or non-VR. Use a controller to take command of the bridge and seamlessly join matches with VR and non-VR players across platforms. Your mission: explore a largely uncharted sector of space known as The Trench, in hopes of locating a suitable new home world for the decimated Vulcan populace. Make strategic decisions and coordinate actions with your crew to complete the mission. In co-op, you can form a crew of four players to serve in the roles of Captain, Helm, Tactical, and Engineer. In addition to a dynamic storyline, the game features an Ongoing Missions mode that procedurally generates missions for countless hours of solo and co-op adventure.

Let me start this review with a quote from my tactical crewmember.
"Can I shoot him?"
This game is probably the best Star Trek-related game I've ever played.
The functions are amazing, especially the role of the Captain.
They've perfected everything in the realm of ship control.
The audio sounds powerful and HD, the phasers sound like actual phasers from the show(s).
Singleplayer is fun, you can command the AI crew through a menu. (I play on vive, it might be different for some people)
Multiplayer is awesome, it's the best on the Next Generation ship. It mirrors the layout of the bridge perfectly.
You don't need DLC for this game, it's fun with or without.
The Old Enterprise ship is complex but fun, and it feels like you were transported straight into the 60s show.
The Aegis ship is very comprehensible and simple, but easy to learn and hard to master.
It's fun to hit the red alert when you're in combat and losing.
The only bad thing is frickin UBISOFT CONNECT. Quest players are at a serious disadvantage with it. You have to have a Ubisoft Connect account, then sign into your Meta Quest account, then if you want to invite people, they have to be friended on your Ubisoft Account, and all the stupid jazz. Ubisoft took this game and shoved the worst app into it. After you deal with that flawed, not-needed, burning garbage, you have a LOT of fun, singleplayer or multiplayer. I played with one friend and had so much fun (We tried to blow up a civilian ship when it asked for help).
Overall, great game, but Ubisoft can go back to it's cardboard home on the side of the road and die.
You should buy it, sale or not (Whatever you want), and you won't regret it.

Tough to play SOLO, but can be done.
Most situations require switching to different crew stations at light speed.
I need a Crew.
Problem there is ... everybody wants to be the Captain or Tactical.

To begin, the concept of Bridge Crew is fantastic and no other Star Trek game makes you feel like you're on the bridge of a Federation ship quite like it. That said, for its brilliant idea, the game is unfortunately quite undercooked and would have benefitted from more missions and polish. It's very slim on scenarios, which is a shame as it had scope to do some very interesting things.
Why do I recommend it? For it's accessibility. On a personal note, Bridge crew has allowed me to bond with a family member in a way that no other game has achieved. They are not a gamer, but love Star Trek. So for that, with its flaws, Bridge Crew has carved something of a special place for me. I can only hope that in the future someone takes this concept and realises its potential.

I have owned this game for many years, its a great game. Its just a shame that not enough people play the multiplayer to form a full crew. The single player side of the game can still be enjoyed. COME ON, MORE PEOPLE PLAY!!!

Any sentient life still reading this forum in 2024?
The best game Star Trek fans ever wanted, unfortunately abandoned...

Great game and a good laugh with friends and even better in VR.
Unfortunately nobody plays this anymore on PC and the game is not cross platform to console players (where most the playerbase is)
After attempting to join any lobby across all the regions i had no success apart from once and then when the mission started my connection to the lobby was lost.
If they opened up cross platform to consoles and PC then this would be more populated and playable.
