Habe diese Klassiker schon früher mehrmals durchgespielt. Vor allem Teil 2 hat auch heute noch, trotz seines alters einen gewissen Charme.
Inzwischen gibt es bereits Versionen mit verbesserter Grafik und Sound. Unter anderem die, derzeit, aktuellste Neuauflage: Star Control Origins
Von Star Control 2 gibt es aber auch eine kostenlose Fan-Version mit einigen Verbesserungen (z.B. Grafik und Planetenerkundungen)
Empfehle diese Version hauptsächlich Leuten die ihre Sammlung vervollständigen, oder ein altes Nostalgiegefühl wieder aufleben lassen wollen. Ansonsten greift lieber zu einer der beiden oben genannten Versionen.

Vor 20 Jahren planlos im All
Hier geht's zu meinem Nostalgie-Waetsch's Play:
Star Control 1 ist aus heutiger Sicht, sagen wir mal, interessant. Die Grafik ist zweckmäßig, die Steuerung mit Tastatur OK. Interessant ist es, dass im ersten Teil die Züge im Weltall noch rundenbasiert waren. Im Gefecht konnte man dann direkt steuern. Aber auch 1990 hat es schon einen Multiplayer mitgebracht, so konnte man sich zu zweit an einem Rechner messen. Star Control 2 hat dann eine richtige Story mitgebracht, die Grafik wurde gegenüber dem ersten Teil leicht verbessert und man bewegte sich nun in Echtzeit durchs All. Hier begegnet man den merkwürdigsten Aliens und schafft sich mit Einsatz seiner Bordwaffen Respekt. Planeten sucht man nach wertvollen Mineralien ab und versucht die Erde von den bösen Besatzern zu befreien. Immer noch ein nettes Spiel, allerdings würde ich heute dann doch zu "Star Control Origins" greifen. Es bringt deutsche Texte mit, steuert sich mit Gamepad und sieht einfach besser aus (Logisch, ist ja auch 26 Jahre jünger). Nebenher macht es auch noch Spaß. In der Summe ein interessanter Ausflug in die Vergangenheit, aber schön, dass es mit Star Control Origins einen würdigen Nachfolger im modernen Gewand gibt.
