Space Rangers is a fun and lovely role-playing game about adventures in space. Explore the universe, meet 5 unique races, join coalition or pirates, fall deep into a saving the world from dominators. This game is full of details and stories, gameplay differs between space exploration, textual quests, real time planetary battles, turn-based space battles, trading and building relationships with civilizations and single personalities.

You will be surprised how detailed is the world in this game, I mean not just art, it's is huge. So many galaxies to visit, and the world lives it's life. If you are too passive, you might find out that the space in conquered by pirates or androids.

Space Rangers 2 is a lot of things: it's a wonderful space sandbox, it's also a strategy, it's a collection of wonderful text quests, and it's also a game with an incredible cheeky style in everything it does. Truly one of a kind game.

I played this game almost 20 years ago, when it was on a "Computer Bild Spiele"-CD. Back then it was called "Space Rangers 2: Dominators". It's still one of the best Space RPGs I ever played and I still play this game from time to time. This release is from 2013 and it still gets updates. They're not big, but the game is getting even more polished. Thank you so much for this gem and taking care of it for all these years!

This was an absolutely great game in so many aspects fighting, trading, missions, exploration, ship customization. Spent so many hours on this game when was launched that literally when sleeping my dreams were about this game :D
Unfortunately this game didn't had a great marketing campaign and didn't become popular.
I truly believe that a game like this should have a remake and better marketing strategy.

absolute classic, world around you is alive, you meet same npc in different systems, if you forget about war, war will come to your, In ma last playthrough, pirates occupied half of the galaxy before I started to save it. Absolute gem, everyone should buy and play it/
Planetary battle are boring tho, but short and you can completelly ignore it. Stick to the space

Shame a game like this with so many aspects of exploration in space and on planets doesn't get remakes or sequels.
Though to be fair, there are quite a lot of top down space games with some of the features this has (minus the planetary stuff).

This was one of my favourite games growing up. Space Rangers 2 hooked me like few other games could. Between the music, the writing, the sense of humour, the charm, and the world, it was an experience unlike many others. It might be the single most played game in my life, and it's an absolute joy to have it in my steam library. I haven't had the chance to sit down and play it here yet, but I always think back on my time with it. Absolutely recommended. A phenomenal experience.
