Space Junkies is a visceral, jetpack-fueled VR Arcade Shooter where you fly through deadly Orbital Arenas in hostile space, facing off in extreme battles! If you thought space was hostile before… just wait until you play in the Dirty Bowl! Death comes fast and hard from all directions as you speed & fight through Orbital Arenas (“Orenas”) designed specifically to kill and built to thrill! You are now part of the elite Tribes of gun-slinging Spacers who battle it out in Team Deathmatch, Free-for-all, Duel, King mode, 1v1, or 2v2.

People complain that this game us too expensive? Well this is what we've been asking for. A polished AAA game for VR. And at 40 this game is a steal. Most fun I've had in VR in long time. I hope they keep adding content to this game. We need to do our part and play these games when they come. Because they don't come often

Fun and well polished game all around. The game is loads of fun and can entertain you for hours and hours. Has a sort of quake feel to it with weapon spawns around the map and a little bit of movement. The devs are very active with their community and have taken our word for lots of balancing needs.
I hope there is still loads of content to come because the 40$ price is a bit steep but I find it worth it even at that. I would recommend at least buying the game and testing out all the guns for an hour before you possibly decide on a refund.

I am an older gamer and I have neither the reflexes nor the time available to ever "git gud" at a FPS. I definitely like playing them though. I'd rather not have my butt handed to me over and over online and I can't imagine it's much fun for the other players either. So if the game doesn't have either a single-player campaign or bots (e.g. Solaris Offworld Combat), it's a hard pass for me.
I have only been into VR for about seven months now and I had never heard of Space Junkies. Someone mentioned in it another review, so I thought I would check it out. As soon as I saw that it had bots, I thought I would give it a try. I'm very glad that I did! I've played about an hour so far and it reminds me of Unreal Tournament but with jetpacks. I played against the easy bots and thought they were quite good. After a couple of matches, I was holding my own, so I have plenty of room to grow with the more advanced bots.
The graphics and sound are good, it controls well, there are a variety of weapon types and there is very little downtime. I'm really surprised this game isn't more popular. I'm looking forward to playing some more. Who knows, maybe I will get good enough to venture into the online arena.
I recommend this game for you if you like non-realistic, fast-paced shooters and want the option to play against bots.

Overpriced at $60; but totally worth it at $20.
Space Junkies is Quake finally realized in VR; the stuff of dreams.

Everyone is complaining about the Index controllers not working, well they do. If they do not work when you start the game all you have to do is this:
1: Close the game and close Steam VR.
2: Open the game.
3: Steam VR will open on its own, put on your headset and turn on your controllers.
These simple steps work for me, I hope they help you.

I just wanted to let Index "Knuckles" owners know that they work perfectly in this game. To early for me to review the game itself, though.

Best VR Arena Shooter. It gets really tense, when you're in a close match with a great team mate and competent opponents. The movement quickly feels natural - you forget you're just standing in a room and not flying through space arenas. Oh, and the graphics are really pretty, but that's obvious from the screenshots.
Loved it in the Open Beta, loving it now.
