Solstice Chronicles: MIA is a top down shooter in which players control the difficulty by managing their threat level through special skills. In a dead colony, a corporate marine is left far behind enemy lines. With an unlikely help of an insurgent drone, he faces the battle for survival against an army of murderous, mindless mutants… and worse things. Master fluid twin-stick combat to blast through waves of mutants on Mars. Use your drone's abilities tactically, weighing the risk and reward of decisions that drastically change the threat you face.

Hi,
Great if you want to play a game for one time, I Liked it partially.
Weapons: There Are not much of them but the limited options offer enough vareirity. Ammo is lying all over the place and can be found infinitely with a skill. The more you use more the weapons upgrade system is a good idea but in execution it is poor as you get constant level ups for your weapons which add tiny buffs, overall it does add up. The problem being that it is almost a system that just exist in the game that plays itself.
Classes: The balance of the classes is all over the place as I found them mostly boring nothing special. The Special skill tree offers few options that are mostly similar to the shared skill tree. The Drone skills are great if you only count the first and last one, the other 2 were basically for me non existing.
Enemies: Shooting hordes of enemies is great yeah but when only the form, speed and health changes it gets boring, different type of enemies but they all act the same.
The game has great foundation but it should had more puzzle pieces such ass more unique encounters challenging events-missions. The constant action is what I liked mostly about the game as you also have the tools to fight back. Playe it onces and forget it.

This game is exactly what is advertised.
I enjoyed The Red Solstice, so I thought I would give this a shot. There is some good humor and this a great game to play when I want a small challenge and just want to blow mutant aliens up. The guns feel great and there is some fun progression for the classes.
There is some 80's action movie style campiness to the campaign and some light humor. There is a survival mode and a coop mode alongside the story. If you're just looking to shoot some aliens on mars in a twin stick shooter, give this a shot. There is endless replayability in the survival mode.
