Smoke and Sacrifice is an open-world, narrative-driven RPG, where exploiting living ecosystems is the key to your survival. Craft, fight, survive and explore the huge open world in this beautifully hand-painted, gothic adventure where every character has their tale to tell. Sachi’s home is the one tiny patch of fertile land which remains in an icy wasteland of a world. Her farming community thrives thanks to their devotion to the blazing Sun Tree, which replaces the lost light of the failed sun. After sacrificing her firstborn child to the Sun Tree, Sachi discovers a darker secret beneath the aura of priestly benevolence. Will she discover the truth hidden in the secret underworld, or perish in its swirling, deadly smoke?

An interesting game that was enjoyable enough to play, even though a few parts were a little unclear to figure out. A lot of items can be found hidden in chests, so you don't even have to grind much to craft what you need. heck, this game might be completed with ONLY making the items that quests tell you to make (like the boots).
You can tank damage well enough if you load up on food. Dodging felt a bit wonky, though. Quests could use a little clarification, and a little bit of visual design to guide players wouldn't hurt either.
Definitely pick this game up if it ever goes on sale. Treat it like a nice snack. I finished it in 20 hours, though I can easily see a few hours shaved off of that time. 7/10 that with some minor tweaks is an easy 8/10.

It is a good game for price of 10 dollar.
Some people complained that the combat is clunky and difficult to control. I do feel the same way, but it is not too clucky rendering the whole game unplayable. It's a 10 dollar game, so I don't think I can expect the dev to make it almost 3A quality. Besides, point and click adventure games' combat often feel clunky so is okay for me if they are not so bad rendering the game almost unplayable or annoying to play.
Some people complained that the story is bland. I don't really mind that much and I think it is decent for a 10 dollar game. The development team is small and they may not have story writer for the game and not everyone is a story writer so this is just normal.
Some people complained the game is tedious. Repetitive collecting and searching for materials for crafting can becoming boring and tiresome, I can agree. I guess this is not a game for everyone. For me, I like collecting and crafting stuffs so it's not a big problem for me, it also helps me kill some time.
Overall, this game is good value for money spent. It has beautiful art, the game is functional, decent story, nice soundtracks and sound effects. Gathering materials and create stuffs are fun sometimes atleast for me. So I do recommend this game for everyone.

It was a fine, chill game with some adventure and survival elements. Exploring the map, learning new recipes keeps it interesting. The game art style is really unique. I wish there were voices recorded for dialogs. I’m sure it would make the game quainter. The drawbacks are a lack of character’s development and clunky combats, but overall I had fun playing that.
