I really was a huge fan of the very first game.
The sequel has been in my wishlist for a while.
And now It's finally out, therefore I bought it.
Mixed reviews, huh? Well, that's simply weird.
People just seem to be angry about the bugs.
Sure, there is a couple of small bugs in there.
But the developers already fixed a lot of 'em.
I just finished the entire game in one sitting.
Did it crash? No, it didn't, everything works.
There were a couple of audio bugs, though.
But to be honest... Nothing Game-Breaking.
I enjoyed the brand new stealth mechanics.
And I also really like the story of this game.
It's very different from the first game, tho.
That simply is a good thing in my opinion.
I did enjoy the completely new gameplay.
This honestly feels like the perfect sequel.
Everything is improved and feels perfect.
I'm sure that the developers will fix stuff.
This will be a bug-free experience soon.
I honestly enjoyed this amazing sequel.
And it really deserves a positive review.

TLDR: It is hardcore and at first interesting but this game isn't really fun to play after some time.
Still I finished it and played for 30h. So I guess it is thumbs up.
I tried to like this game and it has it's good sides. Nice atmosphere and ok story, enjoyable music, hardcore rogue-like gameplay. Bosses fights are nice too.
But it has too much annoying things inside too. Knives disappear from fast use slot, and you can't use them to defend yourself in melee. Character freezes in one place and etc. It isn't full of bugs. But minor problems are frustrating and add to irritation how unfairly game becomes on later stages.
In most places there are too many monsters and they respawn, You just can't get benefit from stronger weapon and so - you don't feel progression. Your next quest destination is never articulated strong enough too (or is bugged?) anyway in Act 5 I didn't understand what i need to do at all and just run around endless maze of locations with same respawnable monsters.
There are no guides and walkthroughts for this game too. I love hardcore games like Sekiro or DS but they were fun to play and gave you sense of achievement. This game sadly doesn't do that. Second half of the game was chore and I mostly was annoyed by it. Still I finished this game and good riddance.

This game has a pretty nice atmosphere, combined with good sound design and visual style, it is one of the more unique games i've played. The combination of survival, stealth and horror makes for pretty enjoyable gameplay and truly immerses you into the game.
The game's biggest issue are bugs and lack of polish in certain aspects, but it seems that the developers are working on it and have fixed a number of problems very quickly.

OK so I really like the idea of this game and it was fun to go around the areas and figure out the different strategies for each room. BUT I came across a game breaking bug which when I got taken by the "reaper" guy I lost all my items, most importantly guns and key cards so no matter what I couldn't continue on with the game I was stuck at the start after hours of playing.
The reason why I am recommending this is because I've seen the update logs and they are fixing bugs and listening to the community so at some point this game will be awesome with a lot of bugs but for now I'd just say be weary when playing. I also didn't find other obelisks so in the end the reaper would always come for me and I would have to start from the beginning area again which i feel like is a good idea to have a ticking clock but the obelisks are too far away from each other.
Before I get into the pros and cons I need to talk about the game progression, in short its weird and there are a lot of doors you can't touch till later (much later than I got apparently) you need an axe and a tool kit to get into a ton of doors from the start of the game which just annoyed me when I wasn't sure where to go I seemingly kept finding them. There are also the "cutscenes" I have no idea what the hell was happening I at some points got cutscenes that didnt give much info at all, one I loaded into the nightclub and I got a cutscene of a guy getting a girl into a car... at another point after i couldn't progress I decided to get the character killed and i got a cutscene of a car crash. I dont know the full story of this game but i did get quite confused by some of those cutscenes.
Pros:
- interesting story
- interesting levels/rooms and enemies
- nice graphics style
- great voice acting
- great lighting
Cons:
- little bugs throughout the game (devs have fixed a lot of them it seems)
- game breaking bug where you lose your entire inventory and can't get it back
- kinda hard to navigate through the game
- probably needs more obelisks
- weird ass cutscenes that don't give you context to whats going on
- even though your daughter is in trouble at the start of the game you are at the slowest with no sprint and needing to read pages to figure out story.

Cool little survival/stealth/horror game. Gameplay is fun, but the freezing loadscreens aren't. I've experienced several now. It's definitely playable otherwise. Hope they keep up on patches and hotfixes, there's potential with this one.

Great atmosphere, reminded me alien isolation but in a another setting. Great soundtrack as well!

A good game with an intriguing story. Interesting gameplay with craft and stealth.
