Rise from the depths a crumbling kingdom and to the challenge of defeating increasingly difficult demonic bosses. Choose aspects of yourself to weaken before defeating the avatars of Sin in the boss battler Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption. Inspired by classic boss-battlers and modern skill-based action RPGs, with a dash of gothic anime styling and horror storytelling, Sinner promises a thrilling and bone-chilling experience. A lone warrior stands on a strange shore, his mind clouded and his past forgotten, but an unstoppable force drives him on. He is Adam, guilty of a great sin and drawn to this place by powers as secret as they are terrifying. As his home, the Kingdom of Cavanis, languishes in blasphemy, Adam must face a series of trials in a desperate quest for redemption.

Really good souls game. Cant understand why this game has many bad reviews.
First of all, its a souls-like boss rush.
The bosses are very creative and there are many mechanics (which are all fun) you have to use to beat them. Parrying, hiding behind objekts, 3 different offensive tools (e.g. you can innterrupt some bosses attacks by throwing a spear in their face) and so on. The bosses attacks are well paragraphed and relatively easy to learn.
I also unlocked 4 new weapons so far and all the weapons are fun.
Game feels like it was made with love.
The game is hard, but not as hard as fromsoftware games.
I did beat every boss without any sacrifices, than did another all redemption run and than a all banishing run, whitch is the hardest. I had a fun time doing it and it took me 11 hrs.
Lets talk about some bad reviews:
- bosses are bad paragraphed and you cant tell, which attack they will use: this is just not true. i think for 95%+ of the time you can easily tell what attack will be used. You know, thats why we love souls games. You can just learn a bosses attack patterns and it s the same with this game.
- bosses have shitty mechanics: you can fall off the arena, ice boss can break the ice beneath you which is an instand death. It is annoying, but especially the ice boss doesnt do it so often if you go on face-to-face combat. All other bosses dont have "unfair" mechanics.
- camera angle: there are two modes, i only tried one and it was perfectly fine
- shitty hitboxes: i didnt even notice except for the very last boss (and the secret boss). He has some weird range on some of his attacks, but i think these are not the hitboxes. The attack was just programmed to be this way. I think the hitboxes and bosses attack patterns are very good or even perfect. I hate Elden rings delayed attacks, so sinner's "normal" attack patterns felt so good.
I have 3 little bad things about the game (im playing with a controller): (dear devs, pls change nr. 1!!!)
1) healing is a consumable and you have to switch between offensive tools and the healing items. In an action packed souls-like this is just not acceptable.
Switching takes some milliseconds which can determine weather you live or die.
(yeah of cours i can do that pro-move and navigate the walking-stick on the controller with another finger, so my thumb can switch between items; but it works only when i pull the stick down and than my character walks backwards, which is not always a good option).
Died many times to this and it was just frustrating, like veeery frustrating.
So the healing item on one single button would be fine and than you could switch only between your offensive items.
2) you cant change what the buttons do. You can switch between two controller modes, but i wish i could chance some buttons for perfect gameplay.
3) When you listen to dialogues, they just go on automatically with a relatively short reading time; so you have to read very fast and also you have no option to hear that dialogue again except for a new game. Story is just not so relevant tho :D, so i dont care.
Pretty solid game, would recommend 10/10
