SINNER: Sacrifice for Redemption
Rise from the depths a crumbling kingdom and to the challenge of defeating increasingly difficult demonic bosses. Choose aspects of yourself to weaken before defeating the avatars of Sin in the boss battler Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption. Inspired by classic boss-battlers and modern skill-based action RPGs, with a dash of gothic anime styling and horror storytelling, Sinner promises a thrilling and bone-chilling experience. A lone warrior stands on a strange shore, his mind clouded and his past forgotten, but an unstoppable force drives him on. He is Adam, guilty of a great sin and drawn to this place by powers as secret as they are terrifying. As his home, the Kingdom of Cavanis, languishes in blasphemy, Adam must face a series of trials in a desperate quest for redemption.

It feels like a short version of the Dark Souls series. However, its original systems and fresh experiences make it an enjoyable game that transcends being merely labeled a mini Dark Souls.

This is a review after doing every Achievement:
Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a Soulslike like many others. This in particular focuses on a Boss rush style of gameplay. You beat a boss, you either forgive him or you kill him. Every boss has a unique characteristic that's a clue for beating it.
You have arenas like an iceberg, a volcanic mountain, a colosseum, etc. Very unique places with a simplistic, but interesting art style. The OST is good and fitting for every combat. It has few cinematics which tell the story of every boss in an ambiguous and mysterious way.
In the technical part, I'm not to sure if it's my pc or the game has some problems, but it kept having stuttering the first time I fought a boss. It was quite annoying but because it was just the first time in each battle, it was passable.
Now the important part: "The Achievement Tour"
Almost 40/60 achievements can be obtained by just completing the game normally, which is good because some are really fun when you unlock them by accident. Some others are really bugged, like Hex Proof & Purified, but it's almost a problem with 1 boss only.
I would advise finishing the game first, which could take you probably 4-5hs, and then completing the achievements that you have left. A good form of doing some achievements is in the Challenge option in which, once you finish the story, you can beat any of the bosses with all original stats(This doesn't work with the bugged achievements)
I'm thinking on doing a guide for every achievement since there's not a good one yet and it's been years.
That might be it, it was fun getting all achievements.
Good luck to you, fellow Achievement Hunters. Cheers.

This game is a fun, semi short boss rush meant for people who like games such as dark souls. It includes 8 bosses overall with some post game content if you're up for it. Its main drawbacks are some rare but not rare enough to be noticed glitches and slight balance issues. Personally I liked this game a lot but I also got it for around 4 bucks. Overall it's a 7/10 for me.

Great game, I loved the boss designs. Good graphics and smooth game play. I really appreciated the unique "sacrifice" system, it created an intriguing puzzle of deciding what order to fight the bosses in and it increased the tension up until the end.
It is short though, so wait for a bundle / sale, but be sure to grab if you like souls games!

I decided to write a review because "Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption" has unfair reviews.
Firstly, the game is not simple but hard either.
Now, let's dive into the details:
Genre It's a boss-fight game which the main purpose is challenge the player.
Story It's not linear, sometimes confusionary but, as I said, is not the core of the game. Even if there's a lack of animated cutscenes, the pictures are really good
Bosses Here we go, this is one of the best part of the game. They are designed meticulously, each one is different with their own mechanics and they totally represent the sin they are linked to. Also, the ambientance and the music is totally part of each boss giving you a perfect atmosphere("Slothful Yordo" is the one I liked the most)
Mechanics It's a basic souls-like style where you start to the max lvl. I do not like how they chose to setup the configuration of the controller(I do not understand why they changed it instead of using the configuration of every souls-like game). A particular mechanic is the "sacrifice". Each time you have to challenge a boss you gain a debuff such as losing part of your gear or stats. The fun fact? You won't get it back when you defeat a boss, that's why people find the game hard imho
Weapons There are different set of weapons that you can unlock, but you start with 2 of them: a shield + sword and a two-hander
Modes After the main game you unlock a new game mode called "challenge" divided into "illusion"(you challenge the boss you want and set your record time) and "nightmare"(you fight all the bosses in a royal rumble style)
Price I wouldn't buy it on his normal price, but it's a good deal if discounted
In conclusion, "Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption" is not a must have, but it's a fun game if you want to challenge your skill against bosses in a souls-like style.

The game has some negative jank: hitboxes are bad and awkward; bosses can use moves that can lead to death without reaction, pairs nasty with bad hitboxes; and the visual clarity is pretty bad too.
That said, I recommend this game despite these issues. I disliked the downgrade system, and it isn't my sort of style of games, but I can admit it's pretty neat. The bosses were pretty cool, and I had fun with 2 of them even if I got my body pummeled or double-teamed.
I give it a thumbs up overall.

I wasn't expecting much from this game so I went in with low expectations. But I have to say the beautiful visuals are what drew me in first. The controls were smooth and game play was good for fighting. During the fights the unique designs and boss music really drew me in. For a boss rush this was really thought out. I love love LOVE the fact the game gives you less to work with as you go on instead of giving you bigger health more stamina like most games in leveling up after defeating a boss. Also when loosing to said boss' which you may, it is so quick to get right back in there and fight them again. I can say if you like Souls like games and want a game with a drizzle of lore, cool boss looks and nice music, this game is worth it. There is replay value so the time spent and could be spent I feel like justifies the price.
