There are people saying this is too hard or unpredictable? If you have any trouble at all, or just want a perfect score, all you need is a piece of graph paper to map the level. All pieces move exactly as chess pieces normally move. Excellent puzzles. I died a few times, but only used a map for the last few puzzles because they got really long, and going back to start was frustrating.

This is a hidden gem that I just stumbled upon. It's short and sweet - I've completed one playthrough and unlocked one ending.
The art is what captured me - it's fantastic. And for a short game, there are a ton of characters, all with really beautiful artwork.
The gameplay is simple. Navigate your way through increasingly difficult chess grids. Don't step on any squares that an enemy piece can move into, or you're toast!
I found myself extremely engaged and challenged throughout the whole experience.
☑ Amazing art
☑ Sweet music
☑ Very challenging
☑ Unique puzzle solving
☒ Doesn't seem to be any controller support - would be brilliant for this kind of title!

First note: I got this game as a gift. Bit strange given it's really cheap and I was still being stingy, but I showed this to another who promptly gave it to me as a gift.
Is it worth the price tag? No doubt about it. I can think fo plenty of things you can buy with this money that only last an instant. For the amount of work that I imagine having been put into the puzzle, a buyer certainly has the better end of the bargain. It doesn't have a complex story and you can certainly recognize tropes in the backstory, but there was one twist near the end that surprised me a bit.
Replayability is only if you want to see the others endings. As far as difficulty go, it rapidly ramp up at the end, ending in me taking screenshot to make myself help sheets because hell if I want to recheck my whole path all over again. Without realizing there were already guides here. Still, if you want to test your observation skills, this game work.
Overall, if you have a few hours of your time and want to support this creator, go ahead! The price cannot possibly be better and it's already a complete game.

Surprisingly well written and a bit of a difficult puzzler (hint use graph paper to make your life easier). I also love the art style and the play on Shy Guys from the Mario games. For the price this is a must buy for puzzle fans. The only think that I didn't particularly care for was the music. It sort of fits, but it's pretty bland and a bit grating if you are listening to it long term. Oh and the full screen mechanic kept messing with my computer when I would try and exit it.
Overall it's a short and sweet with a story and characters that left me wanting more, which is always a good sign for an up and coming indie developer. Awesome job!

I chess play, I know the move of each piece by heart. Walk in with confidence, walk out with 7 cheat sheets and tired eyes.

As a relative fan of chess and cute girls doing cute stabbings, I really enjoyed the time I spent with this game. It takes a straightforward premise (navigate chess boards without being 'taken' by enemy pieces) and sticks to it religiously, with only the occasional story scene dividing up the gameplay. The difficulty is generally well-handled, with the game easing the player into the harder puzzles by gradually introducing the more problematic pieces. It's all wrapped up in a distinctive and outstanding art style (though one with a clear target audience in mind). Definitely worth the small price tag.
On a side note, playing the Erinye demo isn't necessary to understand the game's events but is still recommended anyway, as it's a very promising work in progress.

This is way more fun than people expect. It just takes a while to understand exactly how the mechanics work, but otherwise 100% recommended.
