Bardzo dobry mroczny HO z dość trudnymi zagadkami (bez pomocy), ładna grafika i odpowiednio dopasowana ścieżka dźwiękowa. Polecam zagrać!

Showing Tonight: Mindhunters Incident to bardzo specyficzna gra. Nawet jak na "ukryte obiekty".
Wcielamy się w...w.... ummm.... no w gościa, który poszedł do kina na film tak nudny, że zasnął już na napisach początkowych i zaczęło mu się śnić, że został w nim uwięziony. Fabuła oczywiście powoli się rozkręca, a zakończenie rzuca (nie) zaskakujący twist. Oczywiście zapowiadając kontynuację.
Wspomniana specyficzność Showing Tonight, poza fabułą i ciekawym klimacie, objawia się przede wszystkim w stylu gameplayu. To z pozoru typowa gra hidden object, co oczywiście widać po całkiem ładnej grafice, okraszonej niezgrabną animacją, ale na ok 4 godzinną fabułę sekwencji hidden object jest tu... 3! Główny element, z którego twórcy musieli być tak dumni, że wrzucali go gdzie popadnie to dopasowywanie obiektów do ich konturu. Trzeba obracać przedmiot aż zmieści się w kontur. Mini gierka raczej irytująca i nie stanowi żadnego wyzwania dla szarych komórek. Nie tego oczekuję po przygodówkach. W każdym razie, sekwencji takich jest 5. Daje to nam 8 sekwencji z obiektami + około 10-11 tzw. "mini-gier". Są to typowe dla przygodówek zagadki, jak np. gra w Go, memory itd. przemycone do świata gry. One również nie stanowią wyzwania. Reszta gry to dopasowywanie przedmiotów do przedmiotów i podejmowanie raczej absurdalnych akcji. Np. typowe dla gier HO idiotyzmy typu "nie dotknę się do plandeki dopóki robak na niej jest", albo nielogiczne zagadki jak np ta gdy aby zmienić pękniętą oponę - zamiast podnieść nową, trzeba znaleźć składniki na klej, w tym celu trzeba: przewrócić drzewo (a w tym celu przywiązać je do traktowa, potem rozbić betonowy kloc, co spowoduje że traktor osunie się do rzeki), podrzeć gazetę i wypalić papierosa, po czym ugotować klej, znaleźć pojemnik ze sprężonym powietrzem, znaleźć inną oponę, ukroić z niej łatę i dopiero wtedy możemy załatać swoją oponę i jechać w dalszą podróż po absurdach fabuły. To akurat seria zagadek, która najbardziej utkwiła mi w pamięci. Nie mam tej grze za złe, że jest absurdalna. To przecież HIDDEN OBJECT GAME. One nie mają być realistyczne, ani logiczne. Jednak ta sprawia wrażenie wyjątkowo przypadkowej, większość gry przeszedłem losowo klikając gdzie popadnie. Cóż, grałem od razu na najwyższym poziomie trudności, który nie podpowiada (nawet zmianą kursora) czy można z czymś podjąć interakcję, uniemożliwia pomijania zagadek i nie daje podpowiedzi. Tylko tak potrafię czerpać satysfakcję z HOG-ów (no, chyba że wcześniej mnie zirytują i nie dają nic na pocieszenie).
Ciężko mi ocenić tę grę. Mimo tego, że byłem do niej nastawiony sceptycznie, a dziwne pomysły raczej mnie odrzucały, przejście jej sprawiło mi sporo satysfakcji. Myślę, że warto sprawdzić. Zwłaszcza jeśli, jak ja, jesteś typem gracza, który kupuje bundle dla jednej czy dwóch gier a potem, po jakimś czasie przeglądając bibliotekę się zastanawia skąd ma jakąś grę. Nie powiedziałbym, że STMI to czas stracony. Kupować jednak nie polecam. Zresztą, developerzy nie ogarnęli złotówek na Steamie.
