Welcome to Shakedown: Hawaii, Vblank Entertainment's latest open world adventure. Build a "legitimate" corporation by completing open world missions, acquiring businesses, sabotaging competitors, "rezoning" land, and shaking down shops for protection money. You are the CEO, and questionable subsidiaries, misleading ads, fine print, hidden service fees, and marketing spin are your tools of choice. Shakedown: Hawaii parodies big business, and the most absurd business practices that go alongside. From the boardroom to the streets, build your corporate empire and destroy the competition.

What a great and fun experience. I've got a lot of nostalgia for the original GTA, but this game is so much better in every regard. The pixel art is beautiful, the controls are tight and the story is hilarious. And with the short duration for each mission you can perfectly play for 15-30min in between anything else.
I've got nothing bad to say about the game.

I would really recommend this game for someone who wants a game like Hotline Miami 1 or 2.
I really like that games and I wanted something that feels a bit like them, i have tried ruiner but it did not hook me like Shakedown Hawaii. Shakedown Hawaii plays like an old gta game with really good and modern mechanics. Here is a list with the similarities between the games:
1. Top-Down perspective
2. face sprites
3. similar atmosphere (set in Hawaii like Beard missions)
4. large variety of weapons/guns
5. pixelated artstyle
6. music sounds a bit similar
7. multiple playable characters
(this game does not try to replicate Hotline Miami in any way, this is just my personal impression.
The game is actually much more and anyone who likes the asthetic should give it a try.)

Nettes Retro Game a la GTA...tolle Story, tolle lustige Dialoge. Aber abseits der Missionen ist dann Schluss.
