Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter
The glorious high-definition (HD) chaos from The First Encounter continues now in Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, a remake of the classic arcade FPS Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, which originally scored an overall of 85% on Metacritic and was awarded Game of The Month on Gamespot!
Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter includes spectacularly enhanced visuals and more special effects like Hippy and Kid’s mode, with trademark frantic Single-play, newly developed Survival and Beast Hunt modes, along with all time favorite Cooperative play. Combine those with intense Versus and Team modes for up to 16 players and in over 18 multiplayer maps, Demo Recording option, Spectators and Dedicated Server support, Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter is a worthy successor to the original masterpiece.

Well... Fine. This is a shooter you can play FPS or TPS. The graphics are decent. The music is good. The story is also decent, even funny.
No bugs or crashes.
Overall, the game is very entertaining. There are lots of enemies and several weapons to try. It's a fast-paced game with an emphasis on humor, and it offers plenty of content for the price. Plus, it includes cards and achievements.
Now, I do recommend this game, but with a note of caution. Some levels have a significant difficulty spike, becoming very challenging. Rage-quitting is a real possibility. If you're up for a challenge, this game will be a good choice. Save often and enjoy the mayhem!

With this game (as well as the first HD) you will definitely be able to make new friends who will add you to complete the Diverse Fragger achievement. This friendship will not last long, but still.

Why not assemble Serious Sam HD First and Second Encounter into one game and call it simply Serious Sam 1? So that we have a series of 1, 2, 3, 4 and maybe others in the future. I know that all chapters of First Encounter HD are included into Second Encounter HD, but they have no order there, they're kinda messy. I'd be nice to have them ordered in a linear way as in original games, but assembled in one. And please name games accordingly so that they get arranged chronologically in Steam Library (or anywhere else).

This game has been my whole adolescence. Probably the most fun i have ever had in a multiplayer game. Fragging since 2012

it is serious sam 2. online is as dead as the first game. buy and play at your leisure for the single player i guess? if i want to be critical, i think the maps are too big. 1 kinda suffered of this, but on a smaller scale. 2 takes it to the next level. i get that it is a horde shooter and space is required, but there's such a thing as a bit *too* much space, which makes backtracking tedious. still an alright time, and decent gunplay.

Somehow way better than The First Encounter. Just wish there was more unique weapons because most of them are useless or not fun to use. But the addition of powerups and levels being more dynamic just make this way superior to the first game (but if you own that one you can play the entire campaign in this one for free).
