I had this game for free and it's okay, relaxing and it passes the time.
But for its current price I find it highly overpriced. I wouldn't pay more than 5€ and that is already expensive in my opinion.
It's not a long game, about 2 hours; 3 hours if you aim to get all the achievements (The one that consists of killing 300 enemies was the most annoying).
The story is somewhat what you'd expect, equivalent to a kid's story.
I also encountered lots of crashes during loading screens. I didn't find any post about it so I might be the only one. I managed to fix it by disabling the Steam Overlay just for that game.

Advantages:
The story is decent.
The gameplay is enjoyable but very barebones.
Some parts are comedic, but I don't know if this is on purpose or not.
The game is cheap.
Disadvantages:
Controls are annoying.
Throwing mechanic is annoying to use.
All enemies are generic and are defeated in the same way.
The bosses have only one attack and are very easy to defeat.
In order to progress the game you sometimes have to backtrack to find crystals because you need a set amount of crystals to open doors or to interact with certain objects.
This game recieves a 5/10 from the master here.

Game is still free as I'm writing this so get it if you havn't already!
A fun, cute game with nice soundtrack. Easy to master, interesting story and you want to look closely to the details as you play.
Can be played by kids just as much as adults. Overall a very relaxing and beatiful experience.

Added the game to the library during some giveaway, and it's one of the best experiences I've had.
I read so many negative reviews full of unfathomable 'meh' that I understood: it would be delicious.
Yes, the main character is (a bit, in my opinion) awkward.
Yes, the part with the bosses is more than absurd (perhaps so is the plot in general).
But why not?
After a little research I came to the conclusion that it happened so only because those guys expected something more bright, versatile in actions and puzzles and got bored when they knew it would be like a long, unhurried walk.
I enjoyed this walk, and I was delighted by its turns and references. The retro ones made me revel in nostalgia.
I'd definitely buy the game if it hadn't come into my hands by that happy chance.
