The Timbletot is determined to rid the multiverse of all its love and happiness. CommanderVideo, a lover if ever there were one, refuses to let this happen. He's ready to jump, double-jump, wall-jump, slide-jump, slide, kick, float, drive, fly, and dance his way to victory, all across a medley of thrilling, challenging, and joyous levels!

A super solid game that I'm surprised I didn't try out until now, even when I'm a BIT.TRIP fan.
I have a couple of complaints, mostly belonging to visual touches on characters (specifically the lack thereof), but those are moreso my bias towards Runner 2, which I favour a bit higher over this one.
9 impossible levels + 1 Commandgirl Video/10, wish she had better outfits.

I loved Runner2 on the Xbox 360 so much so that it's one of only 4 games that I have 100% of the achievements in. The simplicity of the movement, the perfect and upbeat soundtrack and the incredible narration kept me going through I don't even know how many hours of extremely fun and simple gameplay.
Runner3 is no different in any single one of these aspects. Everything from the controls, to the visual and level design, to the perfectly crafted difficulty of the "impossible" levels seems to be perfectly in line with the games they've put out in the past.
Thanks for another great game guys, and please make a Runner4.

I really do love this game, but I feel it has its flaws - more so than Runner2. So while I had a fantastic time with this game, I still think its predecessor is the overall better experience.

I'll be honest when I say this: even as a long time fan of the BIT.TRIP series, Runner3, as a BIT.TRIP game, is the weakest in the series. BUT, even then, it's not a bad game, it's actually pretty decent and fun. It's just that in comparison to its predecessor, Runner2, and the rest of a BIT.TRIP series as a whole, it feels weak.
Again, it's not a bad game. It has its own charm and the gameplay is fun enough. It's filled with content and unlockables and good replay value. It even has Charles Martinet as both a narrator and a playable character, which is honestly incredible. The thing is, the fact that it's so different from the past BIT.TRIP games is both a good and bad thing. The good news about it is that it's pretty hilarious and wacky, by far this is the most comedic game in the whole franchise. Some awesome yet sometimes silly music, jokes, and more. At the same time, though, it's so wacky that it looks almost nothing like a BIT.TRIP game. If I knew nothing about this game's existence, I don't think i'd even be able to tell it's part of the series if you showed me a screenshot of it out of context without any of the classic BIT.TRIP elements/characters in said screenshot.
For all its flaws, though, I do NOT believe it's a dumpster fire of a game that shouldn't be played. I'm open minded enough that in my opinion, even though I believe it's the weakest and most out-of-place game in the BIT.TRIP series, it's still a good game. It's no BIT.TRIP FLUX, (which is my favorite game in the series; shame that one is not on Steam) but at the end of the day it's still worth playing. In fact, I was pretty hyped over it when I got it on Switch first and was still happy to buy it again on Steam. But if you're repulsed by anything in Runner3 regardless of whether you're a fan of BIT.TRIP or new to the series, you might want to steer clear of this game. Otherwise, Runner3 is still worth playing.

I love the comedy and the animation and the song. Auto-runner genre is not really for me though as I like to roam around freely. I recommend it only if you like this genre.

A real evolution on what a Runner game can be. Quality over quantity, every level feels distinct while still sticking to the theme of the land in which it takes place. The fluid, cancel-able moves make the skill ceiling even higher than before, and every challenge feels possible no matter how hard.
Also the narrator does an even better job than last time.

Runner3 is the best looking, best feeling, best sounding Bit Trip Runner game yet. The whole series is an easy recommendation, and Runner3 is no exception!
