Different enough from whats out there in hack and slash, rpg, exploration, crafting, and questing type game.
The climbing and flying mechanic takes a bit getting used to, but it is really quite good, and gives you great travel ability, with nothing left unsurpassable, or unscalable. They do have teleport points as well to save time.
I really dont know a great deal about the game, having fun learning(lvl 8), other than a few mental pauses in the crafting area.
The combat is fast and responsive, and once you understand the skill use, its pretty fun.
Voice acting is laughable, and ui is someone in the same vein, but other than that a very solid game, no problems with it running or lack of content it seems.
As far as content, there are beginning quest that lead to a chain it seems, killing a troll to loot a box, get the humans and others to raise their liking of you. Armor and weapons of furthering lvls to find and make, getting the components. Finding magic buffs for weapons and armor., learning new skills by experimenting with controls. And more content to come, so for its price nothing wrong here, just could have had more time in the oven. The developers are asking what we want made better and worked on, and seem to be very intent on making the game a good one.

pros:
give steam trading cards
explore jungle,city
cons:
hard to control
a host of bugs and glitches and some major inconsistencies
my conclusion
I hope developers continue to develop this game to make it easier to understand, given a good storyline is one of the best ways.

the graphics are ok and could be a decent hack and slash type game but the voices of the guides the controls and game play are kind of eh. needs work but could get better, will change review if they fix some things in game.

Updating my review with the one I put on Softpedia:
I found Runeyana a few days after it was released on Steam and became interested after reading the information on it and looking at the screenshots. I bought it shortly after finding it and haven't regretted the purchase.
I've spent close to 60 hours in Runeyana thus far, and although some of the mechanics get frustrating at times, it's still a very engaging game. While the UI can be difficult at times to figure out, after a bit I found myself working with it unconsciously. It could certainly use a more intuitive user interface, but I don't find it game breaking in the least. I actually find it fun to figure things out on my own.
For instance, holding the shift key while transferring money to your chest will transfer 100 coins at a time rather than 10. You can actually change the direction of your 'flight' by using the A and D keys, and of course more gradually by moving your mouse to one side or another.
Crafting is rather simplistic to start, but easy to understand in a short period of time. The weapons require 16 Bones of the same level, and the armor either requires 16 Hides or both Hides and Bones of the same level. After opening your inventory, there's a button in the upper right of the window that shows levels of the individual items which makes things much easier to do.
You can gain skills dependent on the weapon you are using at the time from the various monsters with a red Mark (looks a bit like red antlers) glowing above their heads. These are the skills you place in the action bar at the bottom of your screen. The more you fight with a certain weapon type, the more skill slots open for it.
For me, discovery is part of the journey, and I eagerly await the next installments to this game.
Also worth mentioning is that the Developer of the game interacts with their player base and is helpful when bugs and issues are found, as well as willing to listen to suggestions for improvement.
For those wondering if Runeyana is worth supporting and trying, I would definitely say yes. It has a lot of potential and is quite enjoyable even with bugs expected in an early release game.

What can i say about this game?
Well, it really is amazing, of course it has some Bugs and flaws, but it is still in development and i believe it can become really amazing.
Pros:
-Good Combat system (sometimes it bugs, but nothing that will make you really upset)
-Simple Design
-You have to craft your own weapons and equips
-You can unlock any skills and any classes, you just have to meet some requirements (such as weapons and the damage you receive)
Cons:
-Bugs that make you win the game easily
-Bugs that annoy you
-Menu confusing
-Tutorial Confusing (actually there's none, you have to discover (almost) everything alone)
PS: (i gotta thank the guy who helped me *-*)
-There isn't a lot of skill
The cons is something that can be fixed eventually, so i recommend to give it a try :)

Very promising game, hope to see more of it in future ! There is even character customisation even it is not finish right now.
I love how cute and sexy the female character is, that would be cool to see more hairs etc but you can make a nice character now.
Of course the game needs more content and maybe ennemies respawning without having to
log out the game (so you can gather leather and bones more easily for the craft)
