RUINER is a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok. I give RUINER a thumbs up, not because i 100% enjoyed playing it, but because i quite like the artstyle, vfx and sfx design choices, the OST (Zamilska's stuff especially!) and the story. They way it is all combined into this neat little indie title. But the game controls, the fighting mechanics are off-putting to me, i could not get it figured out in a way, that i can continue playing, sadly. Tried it with keyboard+Mouse and with controller, sadly i seem to be not adaptable and fast-learning enough.

So ein geiles Game! Cyberpunk im Rogue-Lite (oder im Arena Modus Rogue-Like) Gewand. Ruiner ist wie ein Hybrid aus Cyberpunk und Hotline Miami. Vorweg...es ist knacke schwer (im schweren Modus oder NG+), macht aber Bock. Viele verschiedene Nahkampf und Fernkampf Waffen die sich alle unterschiedlich gut oder schlecht spielen, Fähigkeiten die wirklich überlegt sein wollen da es den Build drastisch verändern kann, optisch sehr geil und eine tolle Inszenierung. Gegner Design ist auch super und es gibt ne Menge Bosse. Aber mit am geilsten ist der fantastische Cyberpunk typische Soundtrack. Man kommt richtig in Stimmung wenn die Bässe böllern. Anfangs ist die Story belanglos, aber später konnte ich mich sogar ein bisschen für die Hintergrundstory begeistern. Ich hatte echt knapp 10 Stunden meinen absoluten Spaß. Eins dieser Spiele was ich ewig in der Biblo hatte und es jetzt fast schon bereue nicht eher angefasst zu haben. Für Cyberpunk Fans eine wahre kleine Perle. Leider zu kurz, hätte ruhig noch weitere 10 Stunden länger gehen können. Absolute Kaufempfehlung für Fans des Genres.

Das Cyberpunk Setting ist super. Die Waffenauswahl und Effekte abwechslungsreich. Die Perks sind klasse und laden zum ausprobieren und hochleveln ein. Mir hat Ruiner Spaß gemacht und ich hoffe, dass Reikon Games noch weitere Spiele in dieser Richtung entwickeln wird.

Was für ein Trip! Aber durchaus packend, kurzweilig und energetisch. Eine gute Mischung aus Cyberpunk und TheAscend.
